Mathematics: All Classes: Wednesday. 25.1.6: 1. period

Today Charlie is looking sort of feverishly happy, and what he's saying keeps getting interrupted by coughing fits. "Today we are going to have some fun!

Before you can have your breakfast today, the Beginners are going to figure out how much the breakfast they want will cost, while the Intermediates are going to calculate the sales cost. You all have to pick at least three things. Broots, you can help them out."

He thought for a moment, while blowing his nose. "And you don't have to actually pay for the food, just do the math."

Victor looks over the items and prices, then goes to his desk and does some calculations.

Let's see...no Honey Nut Cheerios woe!, so I'll just go with the regular Cheerios. That's 55 cents right there. of course I need milk, so that's another dollar. I wanna try the English tea, but I'll get a Gatorade just in case I don't like it. So that's 20 cents plus $1.29. I want some Ritz Bits, but that's junk food, so I'll get an apple, too. That's...$1.75 altogether...

He added the numbers on his paper together, then raised his eyebrows. His breakfast cost $4.79, which he thought was pretty expensive. Good think I'm not paying for this... he thought before getting up to turn his work in and get his breakfast.
