World History Class

Introduction to World History to 1600 (Terran)
Monday 1:00-3:00 pm

Seimei glides in to class and bonelessly reclines at his writing desk which is situated low to the ground and surrounded by pillows. All the desks in his classroom follow a similar design. All chairs have been removed to be replaced by large, square, low tables with pillows strewn about for comfort.

He picks up his brush and unrolling a scroll, begins to write.

Once completed he rises and tacks it up on the wall behind him. On it, in neat handwriting and legible for all to read, is the following:

Discussion question –

Define hydraulic civilization and discuss what role religion played in the development of them.

Sir, wasn't religion often the most unifying force of the ancient civilizations? And as such, they exerted the most control over resources, such as water; which were often in limited supply in places like Egypt and Mesopotamia

Well, hydraulics is *looks as though he's reciting from memory* operated by the resistance offered or the pressure transmitted when a quantity of liquid (as water or oil) is forced through a comparatively small orifice or through a tube--like a buncha stuff on my mecha...so..."hydraulic civilization" must be something that moves with water? Or, no wait, moves liquidly? *thinks* I'm not sure about the religion part, though...*trails off*

Oh, hey there, miss, how's it goin'? I'm dyin' ta get outta here, I got so much work to do on 'Scythe and I never had to do any real homework before. The coupla times I was in school, this friend a' mine always hacked into the system and did our homework for us. 'Course, that was when we were runnin' missions all the time, but still! *laughs*
