Walter pulled his notes out of his bookbag and looked them over.

"I'm supposed to ask someone who has had an experience with the paranormal about their experience. I have a feeling you have more than one story, so, can you tell me one paranormal event you experienced, where you were, and when it happpened? Then I'm supposed to ask you three more questions."

"Oh gosh, yeah... I gots oodles of stories..."

She thinks, and it does not occur to her to bring up last Thrusday.

"Well, the one Tommy and Annika always went on about was when I was... Nine. I had found a very upsetting bottle note from my Papa when we were out swimming. So we went back to Villa Villekulla and went up to the attic, and I took out a crystal ball Pappa and me got from a fortune teller."

The bottle note was interesting, but he decided to stay focused on getting his homework done before asking about that. He'd probably find out about it on the way, anyway.

"Well, don't ever say this around the ball itself, because I don't know how or if it would react. But appart from telling it who or what I want to see... It's rather like trying to coax a dog to come out of a hiding place when it's scared."

Walter finished jotting down his notes before looking up to smile at Pippi. "Thank you! Dr. Grissom will like this story. On a personal note, did you bring the ball with you when you came here?"

He wasn't thinking of using it to see home. Definitely not.
