Dream waits until most of the class has gathered and a small purple dragon has joined him before addressing the class. A plate of chocolate chip cookies sits on his desk; there are enough for students as well as his guest.

"Hello.

As we discussed last week, you will spend today talking with the dragon Lockheed. I trust you have all prepared questions for him in his native tongue.

I will be in my office after class for any questions."

Dream then leans back against his desk, arms crossed, and waits for Lockheed to introduce himself. He can translate if needed.

Lisa waves a little hello, and reads her question from a piece of notebook paper.

Lisa's shoulder slump, but she fights the twitch in her fingers to grab her books and see how she messed up the translation. Because she probably doesn't want to know.

/Mackin' is a human slang word
that means something is *pause* preferred

It means good, or great, or swell
And young people use it, as you can tell/

Lockheed stayed Informal in his response. /Oh, okay. Slang causes problems in language, you know. Fo' shizzle./

Unfortunately, it was highly unlikely that anyone would be able to translate the last sentence. Lockheed grinned.

Dream can translate it, but he doesn't know what fo'shizzle means anyhow.

"Thank you for making that point, Lockheed and Lisa. Slang is indeed a problem in languages," he says.
