"Hey! So today we're gonna talk about senders, and how the ethos of the sender can chage the message. Ethos is the credibility of the speaker, as opposed to Logos which is the logic of the argument or Pathos which is an appeal to the emotions of the receiver. Got it? Cool.

She's nearly bouncing around, and she lays printouts of the images in front of them.

"Gestalt! Got you attention? We're going to break these down using the Gestalt principles of design and see if we can decide what gives them power. Ask me whatever, you know. It's cool. This is new and kinda hard and stuff.

She sighs heavily and backs off. "I am CJ Cregg, former press secretary and current speech teacher. I adopted Jack Harkness, which I now know since he came clean with me at the Perk in a huge scene which I was deeply sorry about. I call him Chip, for no particular reason other than it makes me happy, and his sister Shane has disappeared. Um, what else...I live in the TARDIS with Ten, and you have your own room there, but you never come home...and you've got aroom just for your Legos because you're weird..and...um...when I was in the hospital you laid with me and it was sweet...and your good and kind and obedient and you're looking kinda...Jack?"

Jack's eyes are big and buggy. "Mom?" he asks.

The same old half smile curls the corner of her mouth, "Duh."

Jack still looks baffled. "What the hell happened to you?"

"I got sucked into the locker when I was talking to Charlie Eppes...and it dumped me out in there..."she motions to the closet, "...looking like this. Cool, huh?"

Jack takes another step back from the closet. So not trusting that place. "Is it going to switch back?"

"Probably. Why?" Her smile fades and is replaced by a pout. "You don't think it's cool, do you?"

"No! It's cool," Jack says, very unconvincingly. "It's just... I like you better when you are you."

"But I'm still me." SHe walks to him, slowly, and rubs her hand against his arm, "Sweetie, please don't be upset. I'm having a ball. I'm totally taking advantage of this. And hey...look...if you want I can just, you know, bug out til I'm back to normal. I don't want you to be sad."

"I'm not sad, I'm freaked!" Jack bursts out. "I mean, not mega-freaked. There have been far more freaktastic things going on here. And you're like alive and okay and not in the hospital, so I'm happy. I just... didn't expect to come in here and find you like... this." Jack stares at her, hard, trying to imprint her current appearance on his retinas and to cross-check it against his internal file of Mom. "You're okay, though? No amnesia... I mean, more than normal. No random desires to run crazy and murder people? I heard about a girl humping Angel's leg a couple of weeks ago, but I think that was a gremlin bite." He takes her hand. "As long as you're okay, I can deal with anything."

"I'm fine, hon. More than fine. I feel...invincible. And? Jeez, just look at me! Even you think I'm pretty!"
