Detention (01/21)
If either of the students in for detention knew what a Goa'uld throne room looked like, that's what they would have seen when they stepped into the Danger Room Shop. As neither do, what they see is a large room lit only by a scattered handful of flaming braziers, the light flickering off heavily embossed gold walls. The only well-lit area was, well, the throne. It wasn't a very ornate throne. There were nicer thrones, bigger thrones, shinier thrones, but in this setting it was very definitely a throne. And Camulus was sitting on it.
"Apparently detention is supposed to a punishment, but I'm not allowed to harm you." He smiles. "Sadly, taking all the fun out of it." He waves a hand towards two archways at the other end of the room. Through them can be seen more of the same - gold walls covered in vaguely Egyptian script lit by flickering torches. "You see two doors. Choose a door. Walk through it. You are dimissed when you find the door at the other end of the intricate, complex, and trap-riddled maze. Or four o'clock. Whichever comes first." He hands each of them a pack. "Your lunch and a waterbottle. I will be watching your progress. The settings of this . . . room will not allow you to be harmed. If you fall prey to a trap, you will returned to this point and have to start all over again.
"Hopefully your stay in the maze will give you opportunity to think on your actions. That, or provide you with an everlasting hatred of me. Have fun, boys. Oh, and before you enter, sign the roster beside your name."

[[If there were more people and I had been able to think coherently for the last few days, it would be choose your own adventure. Feel free to create traps for yourself, I'll drop some in your way, bump into each other, try to cheat. I'll let you know if you've gotten out.]]

Re: Door Number Two
Camulus's laugh resounds through the corridor.
[[Think ego. Big ego. Very big ego.]]
Re: Door Number Two
Carefully, he starts stepping from tile to tile, marked with the sequential letters of Camulus' name. He's a little iffy on the vowel sound.
[[ooc: am laughing myself silly. let him get across or dump him on his butt again, as you like]]
Re: Door Number Two
[[Wait for it. It gets better. And by better, I mean worse.]]

At least he hopes so.
Re: Door Number Two
There's a rumbling sound, as if the opening of the wall had triggered something. Something like taking the support out from under a bucket of water. Only this particular bucket more resembled Rover's stoner cousin.
If Han were to glance behind him - which he probably would from the noise - he'd see that opening that door had dislodged a giant rounded boulder which was cheerily rolling down the hallway towards him.

After making sure it won't roll on through the wall and squash him anyway, he just stands, panting.
Then he remembers the water bottle and sits down for a minute to have a drink and catch his breath.

"Tell me the day's going to end sometime, professor." He breathes out long and slow, takes another mouthful of water, shoulders the pack and heads back to the first door.
"I'll go back to door number 1, if that's all right, sir?"

About halfway into it, he stops and checks his lunch pack. Gaelic food: Fisherman's pie made with finnan haddie, a couple slices of haggis, some back bacon and the very durable shortbread. Omnivorous always, he finished it, liking the pie quite well.
The rest of the maze was calm and straightforward, until he hit the pit.
"What the hell," he said, knowing the worst that could happen was starting all over.
Instead of plunging into nothing, he found the glass and walked across.
Finally, the door out was just ahead. relieved as he was, he kept a sharp eye out as he opened it.

"Yes, sir. No more swimming without proper clothing." A small sound has him glance over his shoulder, braced to run. He gets the feeling he'll be doing that a lot.
