History of Art / Studio Art Combined Studio | Jan 20, Periods 5&6

As the students enter they might notice some interesting things.

Like the 'replica' Egyptian artifacts scattered around the room.

Or the fact Autolycus looks like he spent the last few days hiding from guards of some description.

History of Art students (Class Roster)

Are each given a handout on identifying artworks from different periods of Ancient Egyptian art. Autolycus gestured at the 'replicas'.

"Kids, around me you have replicas of artworks from a selection of different periods of Ancient Egypt. There are two from each period. I want you kids to discuss what period you think each replica is from. At the end of the class, I want you to fill in the answers on your worksheets."

Studio Art students (Class Roster)

Are each handed a small book.

"I want each of you to choose an exercise from this book, after you have completed it, observe and sketch the History of Art students as they work. But don't annoy them too much."

Xander signed in liek whoa, with feeling. It was a strong sign-in. All the judges gave it 9.8 or higher except for the Bulgarian who gave it a 7.7, but everybody knew he was kind of a dick.

"I like the alabaster vases," Angela ventures. "They look so simple, but it must have taken a lot of skill to make them."

"I find it fascinating how most of your 'replicas' are of the type that you couldn't off-load as fast on the open market are more subtle in their value. I mean, no flashy gold or jewels, or anything obvious like that," she clarified.

"Except for that alabaster vase. That is definitely worth some serious cash pretty!"

Krycek stared at the amulet of Pataikos (http://pics.livejournal.com/autolycus_kot/pic/00006zb3) for a few minutes, as if trying to figure out why it looked vaguely familiar.

"The pendants are really cool!" Bridge bounces.

Jake drew bunnies. Many, many bunnies. Some with eyepatches and puka shells.

Stark draws a penguin. Then, deciding his penguin is lonely, he draws another which looks like it's on a collision course with the first penguin.

Angel very quickly drew a puppy to get the assignment out of the way. He then became very intent on his sketching, but remained too drawn into himself and off to the side to make it clear whether he was actually sketching fellow classmates like he was supposed to.

Zero drew a kitty. Then she colored it pink.

Sakura draws some abstract-ish, somewhat kokopelli-esque() people, and raises an eyebrow. Not exactly what she was going for... She adds a few rough sketches of a fox on another sheet of paper, then moves on to sketch the students in the other class.

Xander approached as soon as he'd signed in, and dropped a sketch on Auto's desk. "Here's the work from last class - my partner wasn't there that day, so we met up during the week and got them done."

Angel handed in a puppy picture. Plus some sketches of his classmates that a trained eye would be able to tell were hastily drawn. Almost as though Angel had forgotten that part of the assignment until it was fifteen minutes until the end of the period.

Quick request. Blood draw + tetanus shot + lots of physics = eaten brain. Please to allow the late homework which I *will* do tonight?
