Upon entering the classroom, you will find that Mac is buried under a mess of wires from the main console that he is apparently trying to fix.
On the blackboard is today's assignment:
"Please write a 100 word essay identifying some of the unique uses and qualities of duct tape."

Duct tape can replace any adhesive in the known multiverse. With duct tape there is no need for glue or tape of any other kind. It would probably have been very useful for all those times we had to stick bits of our ships back together after something blew up. I have also been told that it makes a very effective gag. At least, someone once threatened to tape my mouth shut with it if I didn’t stop talking right that microt. Luckily for me, he remembered that we did not have any on board.
