Speech Comm

201--Speech 2nd period

Ok, kiddies. Today...persuasion. You'll be working on a persuasive speech to get me to buy a product you yourself use and endorse. I have context about each of you...so, fo example, Barbossa? I probably wouldn't buy a ball point pen from you.

Pick and item and sell it to me, gang. Go. Delivery on Thursday...5 minutes or so.

Much more awake today than yesterday Shep chips in, "The only way a message can be clear is if both the sender and receiver have similar background knowledge regarding a given situation, including the use of non-standard phrases and terms. If not, a message won't be clear until a common ground can be reached. Once they've reached that common ground they can build from there for further messages."
