Jung: Archetypes, Etc. (Monday, 01/16/2006, 4th Period)

"Hey, guys. Today, we're going to be watching Star Wars IV: A New Hope Space Battles XII: A New Start. It's a pretty good example of The Hero's Journey, one of Jung's archetypal stories. So watch the movie, read the handouts, come up with a good question, and we'll discuss the concept on Thursday.

ETA: The door to the classroom is closed to minimize disturbances from the hallway.


OOC: I've been offline all day due to work issues, and I'm sorry for having posted this so late. And I think we don't have a fake Star Wars title, but if so, someone let me know and I'll correct this.

Oh, totally. Any time we can make Anakin weep like a little baby, we add to his rage. Or frustration. Or whatever. And his Dark Side Meter slips up another notch.


OMG. Wow. You must rent the even-numbered Trek movies. And III isn't bad. But you need to find someone who can tell you what to avoid and what to watch with Trek, y'know?

I fail at fangeek. I have seen every episode of Buffy and The X Files though -- surely that counts for something. Anything? A cookie? Oatmeal rasin!

Possibly. I still haven't seen EpIII, but my excuse is having a kidlet around that makes getting out to movies difficult. (Let's not mention that it's easy to get to Blockbuster, shall we?)

It counts for a heck of a lot, given who I'm playing! *hands over a cookie* And I love XF.
