Yearbook meeting
Rory perches on the edge of a table in the cafeteria, and faces the people assembled there.
"Hey everyone. Thanks for coming. Now, we're going to conduct this meeting in an organized way, since there are so many of you.
First off, just so you know, meetings will be held at this time every Monday. If you have a scheduling conflict, please let me know.
I know quite a few of you have expressed interest in doing various things, but there are so many new people that I'm going to start a new staff list. So do me a favor and introduce yourself if we haven't met, and let me know what you're interested in doing.
To my photographers: I'd like to see a sample of your work, just for the sake of knowing what sort of features you'd be best at covering. [ooc: Just find a photo online or something. I don't care what it is - just PLEASE keep it clean!]
To my writers: I need you to know how to write thoughtful and classy captions. So, please write a statement about someone you see at this meeting as if you were briefly describing them to a stranger, so that I have a sample of your writing.
Those who are interested in layout exclusively: I need you to be people who are insanely organized. Please tell me the organizational system you use in your room, home, car, or whatever.
To those interested in becoming editors: Two editors of photography, two editors of captions, and two for layout. My layout editors especially need to be people who pay great attention to detail - you should be able to catch anything that the other four have missed. However, all of these positions are crucial, and require people who are willing to make a commitment. So, if you would, please fill out the following application:
Name:
Photography/Writing/Layout (circle one):
Previous Experience:
What I can bring to this editorial position:
Why you should be picked (cannot be the same as above):
Remember: everyone is welcome to participate in the yearbook, and if you don't know what you might be good at, I can help you find something. And, of course, feel free to ask me any questions you may have."
Rory concludes her speech, and smiles.

I'd like to be a photographer, ma'am. Hold on, let me find a photo.

"Okay...and I'm Rory, by the way," she says, smiling and holding out her hand. "Don't call me ma'am...makes me feel old."

Sawyer cleared his throat and handed her a small photo that he had taken earlier that day. When you looked at the Southerner, you'd never dream that he was this active in sports but he loved photos and his Pa' had taught him well.
"Fellow team mates, don't ask...." he grinned rather sheepishly, his dipples sinking in low and his eyes turning into slits.

"It's very good. You wanted sports, right?"
no subject
"Right, doll." he said more confidently this time, a cocky air about him now. ``The Yearbooks Sports photographer`` sounded kinda cheesy but oh well.

He arches his eyebrow back, "Alright, Rory.." he said with a accomplished snort of air. "Want me to take pictures of any specific event?" he asked her calmly.
