Welcome Dance - the Gym
The streamers and banners are up. So are a zillion multi-colored helium balloons.
The floor is cleared, and the bandstand is up at the north side of the room, ready for Dusted Bunnies to take their places.
The refreshment table, with the (as yet) unspiked punch is in place. There are chips and stuff as well, Chex mix, a few nachos and some guacamole.
Party on, dudes! And welcome to Fandom High.

Everytime I do it makes me laugh
How did our eyes get so red
And what the hell is on Joey's head
And this is where I grew up
I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we'd ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneaking out
And this is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must have done it half a dozen times
I wonder if It's too late
Should i go back and try to graduate
Life's better now then it was back then
If I was them I wouldn't let me in
Oh oh oh
Oh god I
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye
Remember the old arcade
Blew every dollar that we ever made
The cops hated us hangin' out
They say somebody went and burned it down
We used to listen to the radio
And sing along with every song we know
We said someday we'd find out how it feels
To sing to more than just the steering wheel
Kim's the first girl I kissed
I was so nervous that I nearly missed
She's had a couple of kids since then
I haven't seen her since god knows when
Oh oh oh
Oh god I
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye
I miss that town
I miss the faces
You can't erase
You can't replace it
I miss it now
I can't believe it
So hard to stay
Too hard to leave it
If I could I relive those days
I know the one thing that would never change
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye

Everytime I do it makes me...

allmost modern music, Walter had no idea what he was listening to. But it was slow, and he'd seen what passes for slow dancing, which looks more than easy enough since it mainly constituted standing very close to the other person while holding him or her in one's arms.He pulled Victor out onto the floor and put an arm around his waist. "I don't think this is quite the right music for a waltz," he said into Victor's ear.

"He leaned over to Walter's ear and whispered. "This is one of my favorite songs, you know. I figured you wouldn't know it, but I hope I can make it special to you just the same."
Re: Songs! - Request
"Thanks," meaning far more than just the hug. "A lot."
Re: Songs! - Request
As the chorus prepared to swell for the second time, Victor lifted his head from the other boy's shoulder and looked into his eyes intently. A pit grew in Victor's stomach, and he he began to tremble a little bit at what he was about to do. But he couldn't hold back any longer. It was the right place, the right time...and the right guy. "We're in the middle of a dance floor with about a hundered people around us, watching us slow dance," he nervously began. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and opened them again, giving Walter the most intent look he could muster. "Would you mind if I kissed you?"
Re: Songs! - Request
He felt the sort of giddy feeling he'd felt the first time he'd jumped out the open door of a airplane. The twenty or thirty reasons for and against were weighed and discarded in a blink before he silently nodded.

Walter nodded and grabbed Victor's hand. "Let's go."
