Welcome Dance - the Gym

The streamers and banners are up. So are a zillion multi-colored helium balloons.

The floor is cleared, and the bandstand is up at the north side of the room, ready for Dusted Bunnies to take their places.

The refreshment table, with the (as yet) unspiked punch is in place. There are chips and stuff as well, Chex mix, a few nachos and some guacamole.

Party on, dudes! And welcome to Fandom High.

Pip leads Pippi onto the dance floor and places his hands in the appropriate places.

Pippi does the same.

"I'm not sure if we should Jitterbug or Polka." she says blushing.

Pip shurgs. "I don't think either of them are appropriate for the music. So it's your choice."

Pippi eyes the Mosh Pit. Maybe later...

She shrugs,

"Jitterbug seems more appropriate."

Pip nods "Jitterbug it is, then!" He proceeds to lead Pippi in what he hopes is a lively jitterbug. It might be that he is making it up completely as he goes along. Either way, he's having fun.

Luckily, Pippi is fast enough on her feet to keep in step with Pip when he deviates from what Walter showed her earlier. She assumes that Pip is more advanced in the Jitterbug then Walter, rather then just making it up as they go along.

Pip is relieved that Pippi either doesn't know or doesn't care that Pip has little to know idea what he's doing. He attempts to spin Pippi outward. "You're pretty good," he says.

Pippi spins out and spins back in. Her denim skirt flairs out revealing the garters holding up her (wait for it) long stockings.

"Thank you." she says as Pip dips her and her hair falls away from her face, "I've been practicing."

Pip laughs. "Somehow I'm not suprised at the stocking," he says. "Who were you practicing with?"

"I was talking to Walter after Smith announced your detention. Congratulations on that by the way." she said tossing her head to get her hair out of her face, "And we both realized we didn't know many dances between the two of us. So we taught each other what we knew."

"Thanks," Pip says, having wrapped his long braid around his neck like a scarf. "Well, you two taught each other well. If I didn't know better, I'd say you've been doing this a while."

"I'm a pretty quick study when it comes to physical activity." she says plainly

Pip almost chocked at this statement, but elected to not say the most obvious thing. He wasn't entirely sure how Pippi swung yet. In fact, he felt that she gave off a definite aura of lack of awareness in such matters. Best to let it slide for now. "Really? Like what?" he said, plainly.

Pippi looked at Pip as if he had eyes on stocks.

"Liiiiike... Dancing?" she said, "Duh.", she said as she heard kids her age do on TV, "What did you think?"

Pip would like to point that he would have only one eye on a stalk, thank you very much.

"Well I thought maybe you were asking about me giving people fighting lessons or something," Pip resonds.

Pippi would like to point out that would be why she put strikes through the s's. She also thinks that Pip may be trying to cover up being a grinding pervert with his responce.

"I'm not acquainted with your ~~wacky "French-Fu"~~ style of fighting. It be interesting to learn. Are you teaching classes?"

Pip would apologize, as he totally didn't see the strikes. His bad. And of course Pip is trying to cover up his grinding pevertedness. He's off being a pevert with another pervert in another thread.

"Savate," Pip responds. "And I'm fairl well aquanited with a couple of other styles. I'm not actually offering classes yet, but I'm doing some one-on-one work with a couple of people if you'd like to learn."

Pippi is aware as she and Walter are currently mocking him in a nearby thread to that thread. Pippi is also sorry she is double posting this comment as she went through the trouble of finding the image for this avatar and she's damn well gonna use it.

"That sounds delightful. The lion's share my martial training has been 'on the job' sorta stuff."
