Welcome Dance - the Gym

The streamers and banners are up. So are a zillion multi-colored helium balloons.

The floor is cleared, and the bandstand is up at the north side of the room, ready for Dusted Bunnies to take their places.

The refreshment table, with the (as yet) unspiked punch is in place. There are chips and stuff as well, Chex mix, a few nachos and some guacamole.

Pip curses. "Well, we'll have to wait, then. He grins. "Ahhh yes. Walter and myself. We rebuilt a golf cart on Principal Smith's desk. I don't think he was particularly happy about it."

Chiana had no idea what a golf cart was but... she-aw. "You frelled with Smith?" she laughs. "You definitely a braver being than I am. I'm kinda surprised he let you live!"

Pip shrugs. "Well, I didn't do it myself. Walter helped. And we got the idea from another source. But I maintain that it was worth it. Because, ya know, golf cart. On top of Smith's desk." He takes the last sip of punch, throws it away, and lights up a cigarette. "He's got a really nice desk, by the way."

"That's.. good to know, I suppose?" she laughs. "And speaking of really nice things," and yes, she's well aware that that was lame, "can I definitely say that one of us looks handsome all dressed up tonight?"

"I quite agree," Pip responds. "But I generally feel that, when describing ladies such as yourself, words like "beautiful" or "gorgeous". Perhaps "hot", but I'm not drunk enough, I'm afraid," Pip says. Inwardly, he does a little victory dance at his excellent turn around.

"Well, I *was* talkin' about you. But hey, we can talk about how gorgeous I am instead," she says, laughing. "Unless you maybe wanted to dance? I hear that's generally what beings come to these things to do. Well," she grins, "that and getting drunk. I've usually found that that's the more fun part of the night."

"They dance here? I was wondering what the band was for," Pip says, grinning. "Lead on!"
