Welcome Dance - the Gym

The streamers and banners are up. So are a zillion multi-colored helium balloons.

The floor is cleared, and the bandstand is up at the north side of the room, ready for Dusted Bunnies to take their places.

The refreshment table, with the (as yet) unspiked punch is in place. There are chips and stuff as well, Chex mix, a few nachos and some guacamole.

Walter whistled and clapped. "You've got me beat, my friend. I can do a decent jitterbug and that's it. I'll look to you to teach me."

"Jitterbug? We did one of those at dance camp for fun once. It was alright. I'll do my best to teach you some of the newer stuff, though."

He looked at the punch bowl. "Hey, you want something to drink before they spike it?"

"I think that's a good idea. I don't want any question about my actions," Walter joked, thinking of their exchange about root beer the day before.

Victor blushed and went to go get some punch. Everyone around the bowl seemed to be fine, so he filled two cups and brought them back to Walter. "So, you've really never been to a dance before?"

"Thanks," Walter said and took a cup.

He shook his head and took a sip of his apparently unaltered drink. "I haven't been to school in years. When I was in school, we were too young for dances."

"Well, here's to your first one being memorable," he replied with a smirk, toasting Walter before taking a sip. "So, do you want to just hang out here, or maybe dance with someone? Pippi looks like if she doesn't get on the dance floor soon she'll explode."

Walter returned Victor's toast and shook his head. "That depends. I didn't come here with Pippi. Are you going to show me some of your fancy moves?"

"That depends," he countered with a spy-esque look. "Are you gonna show me yours?"
