Welcome Dance - the Gym

The streamers and banners are up. So are a zillion multi-colored helium balloons.

The floor is cleared, and the bandstand is up at the north side of the room, ready for Dusted Bunnies to take their places.

The refreshment table, with the (as yet) unspiked punch is in place. There are chips and stuff as well, Chex mix, a few nachos and some guacamole.

Rory did not glance around in a shifty or suspicious way at all.

"Um. Totally on my own here, too. Since I have no boyfriend or anything. Think I'm going to stay single for awhile. Seems like a good idea. Yep."

"And I could've brought Vladdie and it would have been adorable!" Rory said gleefully. She felt very sneaky, since Alanna hadn't pursued what she was fairly certain was a bad lie.

Like Alanna would have noticed. "I don't think Faithful likes Vladdie. Something about little annoying flying pups not knowing when to not bother him. Then again, he was also complaining about Sean and Dr. House's dog." She shrugged. "He doesn't mind dogs, he minds the playful ones."

"I haven't met Dr. House's dog yet, but Sean and Vladdie are like, best friends. It's way, way too cute. We should have a pet day or something, with all the dogs and your cat and Angela's, and Anakin's turtle and Xander's frog and Marty's chicken and stuff," Rory mused.

Alanna's eyes grew wide. "Only if the student body is allowed to go hide on the roof! Can you imagine what would happen?" Alanna spent a minute doing just that. "Gods! That's just...terrifying."
