Pippi entered the lunch room looking for MacBeth. She was most interested in Hem und Cheese-a sundveeches and Tecus. Pippi loved Tecus.

Per her plan with MacBeth (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomtownies/522928.html?thread=20592048#t20592048), she looked around to see what everybody was eating and if anything interesting had happened yet.

[[ooc: Warning - will have to slowplay after 11:00am Pacific.

Macbeth wandered his way into the lunch room, instantly veering toward Pippi. He had no idea what any of the items on the menu were supposed to be, and so he had an intense interest not only in discovering if the food was lethal, but if the kids eating it actually seemed to be enjoying it as well.
"Good afternoon, Pippi," he said, nodding in her direction.

[[ooc: We'll just have to make good time until then, hm? Me, I'm here all day. Calling in sick for the win! *sneeze*]]

Pippi translated the menu for Macbeth from her native Swedish.

"Pasta salid. Basically cold noodles with some kind of meat in a vinigary sauce. It's not bad."

"Tacos. That's a crunchy envelope with meat and cheese. They can be quite delightful."

"But I think I'm going to go with a Ham and Cheese Sandwich I think. It's pretty much what it sounds like, ham and cheese between two slices of bread with some other stuff... The Chef seems to be making some kind of note to Marty about... music. I would say it indicates he took extra special care with them... So they're probably be the safest."

"Surge is a drink... You'll probably like it."

Macbeth listened intently, quite willing to learn anything he could about the food that this day and age had to offer. He nodded a little.
"I'll get whatever you'll be having, then. It sounds like ye know what you're talking about."
...
"How do we go about gettin' the food, lass?"

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-01-11 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"From what I've observed, you get a tray and take what you want." She said putting a Sandwich and a Surge on her try as she slid it down the line. "If there's something you would like to see, I bet you could just ask the chef. He seems very nice."

[identity profile] sea-incarnadine.livejournal.com 2006-01-11 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Macbeth followed Pippi's lead, taking a tray for himself and then grabbing a sandwich and a Surge as he followed her down the line.
"Aye, he does seem like a pleasant sort, though I can barely understand what the man is saying." He smiled faintly. He knew he wasn't fooling anyone; he could barely understand what anyone was saying, anymore.

Out of the corner of her eye, Pippi watched Marty and Cally eat their sandwiches. Nothing bad seemed to happen to him so she leaned over to MacBeth,

"I think it's safe, nobody has turned into an animal or anything."

She took a big bite of her Ham and Cheese. It was actually very good! As she chewed she briefly considered choking and falling over... But it just MacBeth seemed frazzled enough as it was. And the Chef was Swedish.

[identity profile] sea-incarnadine.livejournal.com 2006-01-12 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Macbeth watched Pippi carefully to determine that all was well before he, too, began to it.
It was no Twinkie, that was for certain, but it was well enough. Macbeth certainly couldn't complain.
"Aye, it is good." He smiled, relieved. "Shall we find a seat, Pippi, lass?"

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-01-12 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes," she said, "good idea. We should definitely sit down to eat the rest... Just in case." She winked and walked with Macbeth to find a good place to sit.

[identity profile] sea-incarnadine.livejournal.com 2006-01-12 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Macbeth felt himself rather drawn to an empty table, pulling out a seat for Pippi like the illegitimate royalty chivalrous gentleman that he was.
He totally missed the wink, thinking that perhaps Pippi had something in her eye.
"Just in case, indeed."

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-01-12 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh," she said sitting down in the chair MacBesh pulled out for her. "Thank you monsieur." She waited for him to take his own seat.

"So how did you like gardening?"

[identity profile] sea-incarnadine.livejournal.com 2006-01-12 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Macbeth took the seat beside pippi, poking at his sandwich. "Gardening wasn't bad, really. We did nae do very much, though. I'll be able to judge it better on Friday, I think."
