And I want to know something really interesting.

"My name is Piper Halliwell and the most interesting thing about me is that I'm a witch with magical powers. I can also write spells, but I seriously lack rhyming skills."

Lorelai's eyes light up. "You have magical powers? How come I never knew that?"

"I guess it never came up," Piper said simply.

"Wow. I wanna know all about it," Lorelai says. "Um, some other time. Hey, are you still going to be my TA?"

Piper nods. "I was planning to if you still want me to be."

Lorelai nods. "Most definitely. You know what? Can you stop by my office at some point today or Thursday? There's some things I want to go over with you."

"I can stop by after class."

"I'm Boone Carlyle." He is standing as if he's almost unsure of himself, wanting to put his hands back into his pockets. "Uh, I'm from Palo Altos in California. I'm pretty, well, average, especially compared to other people in this school. I can't write music or poetry to save my life, but I do draw, every now and then."

"Nice to meet you, Boone. And I'm sure there is something about you that's not average. Think harder," she says with a grin.

"I'm Lindsey McDonald. Interesting? ~~I'm dating your hot TA but I love my fridge more.~~ Um, I play guitar and I write songs sometimes ~~and sing them for your hot TA~~. And I want to be a lawyer."

"Well, Lindsey, you'll have to bring your guitar in sometime and sing for us," Lorelai says with a grin. ~~And if you do anything to hurt my hot TA, I will kill you dead.~~

"I'm Lisa Cuddy. I'm from New Jersey, I want to be a doctor someday, ~~and I love Dungeons and Dragons~~ and... I had a crush on that middle Hanson kid when I was like, nine."

Lorelai gives Lisa a sympathetic look. "You're very brave for admitting that in public," she says. "Not like your age demographic had a lot of good bands to choose from. I, myself, was the number one Bangles fan in my day. But unfortunately, they just don't make music like that anymore."

Kristy grabs a syllabus and signs in.

And I want to know something really interesting.

"Hi, I'm Piper. I really love to cook. One day I would very much like to open my own restaurant. Also, I make the best brownies ever," Piper says, grinning.

"And you'll be bringing some in to share with the class?" Lorelai asks.

Piper smiles. "Sure."

"Um," Boone stands up, with a 'Do I really have to?' look over at Lorelai, and gives a reiteration of his earlier introduction, this time including a few more details.

Lorelai grins. "There are people here who didn't meet you in the last class, Boone," she says. "But I'm glad to see you again."

"Hi. I'm John. It's my second semester here, and it strangely feels like home."

"Nice to meet you, John."

"I'm Lilly, ~~I had sex with your daughter's ex-boyfriend, and his father~~, and I have one double-jointed elbow?"

"Oh, that's kind of neat," Lorelai says, suspecting that Lilly's probably got better stories and just doesn't want share with the class.

"Hi, I'm Kristy." She confidently surveys the room. "I started my own baby sitting business back home in Stoneybrook and it was a total hit. I'm kind of known for my great ideas and I hope that I can apply those ideas to something bigger and better." She sits down, then stands back up. "And something interesting... my stepsister thinks we lived next door to a witch. Yeah." She sits, for good this time.

"Wow, that's impressive, Kristy. You should have been in my Starting a Small Business class last semester," Lorelai tells her.
