The Doctor looks like he had an argument with the idea of not getting out of bed and lost.

Also, for some reason, he can't get Billy Joel out of his head today. In order to prevent him from going batshit due to the line 'You should never argue with a crazy ma-ma-ma-ma-mamma' repeating over.and.over. in his mind, he's got the Greatest Hits box set on quietly.

Unfortunately, whatever he's typing seems to keep seguing into the lyrics of the song currently playing...

Blink. "No, no squid. I was under the impression it was difficult for them to...wander outside of an aqueous environment. And I didn't receive any from you, so no need to worry there."

The Doctor pauses and looks at her curiously, as she's turning red in the face. "Are you all right, Sam? You look overheated."

"Yeah, I was under the same impression," she shrugged, "but there we were, in the school's only fully aqueous environment, and no squid. Probably somewhere in the pipes," she decided.

"Oh, I'm fine," she cleared her throat. "And I'm glad you didn't get any of those messages--some of them were rather personal and I haven't tracked them all down yet. That's all."

He blinks and idly runs a hand through his hair. "Right then. No squid and tonnes of mixed up phone messages. Just when I thought life around here was starting to get mundane."

"That'll teach you," Sam grinned, a bit cheekily. She tucked the paper into her bag. "Anyway, thank you, and I'll let you get back to whatever you were doing."

"You're welcome." He scoffs a little, "And it's not like I was being particularly productive anyhow. Do you want to set up a time when we can meet, once a week, to discuss your progress?"

She nodded. "That sounds good. I have only one class on Tuesdays and Thursdays and that's at 8 a.m. Do you just want me to come to your office hours on Tuesday?"

"That works just fine for me. Whenever during the day that suits you."

"Alright, then," Sam nodded, walking to the door. "Open or closed?"

He thinks and then sighs. "Open. Keeps me from acting like an idiot. Some of the time. Have a good day, Sam."

"You too, sir ." She smiled and walked out, closing the door behind her.
