[OOC: It's good to be back! Now using limited OCD threads! Class Info Post.]

The Tick is standing at a podium in the front of the room. Lockheed is back on top of a specific bookcase in the room. Furthermore, there is a squid in a bowl on Tick's desk. On the bowl is a note reading "LOST SQUID." Once all the students have filed in, The Tick hands out the syllabi ~~which are just the C.I.P. linked above but more IC, shh~~ and speaks to the class.

"Hello, students! In case you were unaware, I am Professor Tick and I shall be your guide in this mysterious land that we call Justice! This semester we will be taking on subjects that are... Well, actually, I don't know what they are yet, but they should be keen! "

"A couple orders of business to take care of. First, since this is an advanced class, you'll be expected to do a bit more than you did last semester. Therefore, you have weekly homework now. More on that later. You will also have two quizzes, a paper, a group project, and the Final Exam at the end of the year. I'm confident that you will all survive these trials, though! And there will be weekly extra credit, of course."

"Now let's get to a little discussion! It's light stuff today, class. Stand up, give your name, and tell the class something you've done in the Name of Justice!"

"Every week, you will have a homework assignment. The assignment is called The Weekly Metaphor! Each week I'll give you a prompt and you will have to use your fine metaphor skills to make the prompt relate to Justice in some way. [OOC: See the duck question on last semester's final to see how this works.] This week's prompt is mules."

"And finally, I'm giving you the opportunity to do weekly extra credit. This week's EC Prompt is: come up with a superhero name for yourself."

"Extra Credit and The Weekly Metaphor must be turned in on Thursday [OOC: Or in slowplay terms, by class on the following Tuesday.] Again, I look forward to all of your contributions throughout the next 16 weeks. Go ahead and discuss!"

Aeryn is not going to explain the stupidity of 'sex = perfect happiness = omg we're all dead' loophole in the middle of class. Though she is tempted for a minute.

Marty continues, "Because apparently sex? For Angel it equals perfect happiness. ~~At least that's what he told me.~~ And if he's perfectly happy? OMG! We're all dead!"

Aeryn rolls her eyes. "If just sex- good or bad- is all it takes to make someone happy, they really need something else going on in their life," she tells him.

Being a typical teenage male, Marty has no concept of what Aeryn is talking about. "Then obviously you're having bad sex."

Aeryn actually laughs out loud for a second before catching herself.

Marty grins then goes back to looking at the ceiling and not ~~ZOMG~~ Callisto's chest.

Angel stared at the both of them. He hadn't had nearly enough coffee yet.

"Can I move that we have more discussions of justice that don't involve my sex life? Or lack therein."

"As long as I don't get the blood drained from me when it *happens*? Totally cool with that."

"Oh, sure, you say that now. Of course the other day it was all you, me, and the rodent sex."

*face palm*

"First of all it was making out like a ferret! Sex was never mentioned And... And... that wasn't meant for you! Because I would never make out with you!"

*pause*

"Okay except that one time in the library but there was ass-grabbing, head-thumping and wrongness! Total wrongness."

"Yeah," Angel said, thoughtfully. "Head-thumping's more of a quickie in the gym shower kind of a thing. Not the Library."

Marty flailed. "You did *not* thump my head. I thumped my own head when you... never mind."

Angel grinned. He leaned over in Marty's direction. "Do you want me to thump your... head? Because I could but, you know, we might be risking perfect happiness here. For you, I mean."

Marty gives Angel a long look and starts reaching for his duffel bag.

"Happiness huh? You trying to spread happiness to everyone today Angel?"

"At this hour of the morning? No." Angel sipped his coffee again. "Be glad I'm even awake."

Marty looks at Angel suspiciously and wonders if he's under another love spell.

"Uh-huh. But the whole promise of head thumping? Particularly mine? How many people are you going to be offering that to, today?"

Marty reaches into his duffle and grabs a hold of his cricket bat.

Just in case.

"Your virtue's safe with me, Blank. You know I'm not into hitmen."

Marty snorts. "Virtue? Like I'd put my virtue in your ~~slightly cool yet delicate~~ hands."

"You'd rather put it in other parts of mine? Because I'm telling you right now the answer's no."

"You were the one hitting on me, hair boy. Not the other way around."

If wee alien dragons had a god, then Lockheed just thanked it.

Lockheed, being rather more perceptive than Tick, caught this movement.

He glared and grunted at Marty, trying to get the point across that he should let go of the bat. Just in case.

Marty sighed and let go of the bat.

He'd still keep an eye on hairboy...
