Library, 1/09

Angela isn't sure whether she's more frightened by the fact this is her first time opening the library, by the new students, or by the Librarian.

Her stomach is a mass of butterflies as she turns on the lights and takes a place behind the checkout desk, braced for the onslaught.

"No you don't," Sam made a face, "he tried to make me the coffee drinking guinea pig in Shop Class. Such a brat." Sam knew the feeling, but didn't counsel Lee about it, or she'd have to tell him to leave it in the room.

"So, what are you taking this semester?"

"Ah, but John always makes it more fun!" Lee says, nudging her with his shoulder and laughing. Don't make Lee start gossiping about you and Jack now...oh speaking of gossip, I forgot about the VM...whee...

"Couple of history courses, the sociology of violence class, a psych class...that sort of thing -- oh, before I forget, I got an odd message from you on Friday," and his cheeks turn pink, "I'm going to guess that it wasn't intended for me as it was sort of... in the... well, it was a bit romantic and I'm pretty sure..." and he kinda bites his tongue and looks at her.

"He does," Sam conceded, giggling and elbowing him back. "Ooh, those sound interesting."

She blushed pink. "You got my message? Which one? Because, well, there was one where I was yelling, and one where I was...not," she said lamely. "Either way, I'm really sorry. I had no idea the phones were messed up."

"Okay," Lee says, sighing out the breath he was holding. "So the message I got was for someone else, okay." OMG SAD CRIES!!!

"It was," Sam nodded. She hoped this didn't make things awkward between them, since she really liked Lee. "Do I need to go hide somewhere? Or try to get hit on the head and get amnesia?"

"No, no, no. I just needed to know if it was a misdirected message, that's all. All's well!" he says quickly.

If it was a misdirected message. Oh, boy. She was going to have to be more careful about this than she'd thought.

Or she could ignore it.

"So, have you recovered from the naked party in your room?"

Ignoring it worked.
