Library, 1/09

Angela isn't sure whether she's more frightened by the fact this is her first time opening the library, by the new students, or by the Librarian.

Her stomach is a mass of butterflies as she turns on the lights and takes a place behind the checkout desk, braced for the onslaught.

[OOC Note: You do need a card to use the library. Might as well take care of it today. OCD threads are here.]

"I don't recall filling out a form last term, but I started in the middle of things so it may have been overlooked." He takes a form and fills in the following:

Geoff Chaucer
Professor, Introduction to Western Literature and Creative Writing: Poetry
Classroom/Office: South Humanities Wing

"Will that do?" Handing the form across to Angela, he grins and adds, "The meeting you left me a voicemail message about on Friday. I think you called me 'sweetheart'."

From his expression, it's pretty obvious that Geoff has figured out it was a mistake, and he's just needling Angela.

"Not meant for me? I'm heartbroken, my lady. And here I thought you said you loved me." Geoff winks at her.

"Really I only came by to check on the whole library card thing, so I'll get out of your hair. Tell Marty I said hello?"

Geoff laughs. "It's all right, Angela, I'm only giving you a hard time." He leans across the desk and kisses her cheek. "You and Marty and I should make time one day to go out for a drink or something as I have no concept of what a 'drinking age' means."

"He is, so hopefully you'll be the recipient of some very good poetry when he's finished. If I don't see you again soon, have Marty let me know when the two of you are free, and we'll set something up. And have a good day, Angela. It was good to see you."

Geoff smiles at her, and then heads out the door.
