"Lucky! I have Thursday free, but classes all other days. I don't really mind, though, becuase I'm really looking forward to all my classes - the first two are right after lunch, Magical Theory and Anthropology."

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
"I took Anthropology last semester - with Dr. Jackson, right? Really interesting." She looks vaguely guilty. "I probably should have paid more attention, though. And Magical Theory, wow. I would have been tempted to try it, if not for the fact that I didn't believe magic existed before Fandom. I'm afraid it would hold a grudge."

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, Dr. Jackson," Kiki confirms, "Magical Theory is with Professor Calendar - she's a witch, too, so she should be really knowledgable. I don't think there will be any actual performing of magic, though, just learning about it. It'd be exciting if we could learn some, though!"

"Have you been into Wonka's candy store in town?" Ivanova asked, smiling at the younger girl's enthusiasm. "Tonks has been magicking things. She gave me some truffles with a . . . cheerful charm? Something like that on them. And we made wee plastic soldiers move. It was a grand battle."

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
"Really!" Kiki exclaims interestedly, "I should go over - I haven't seen Tonks in a while; I was going to go flying with her sometime. I'll definitely have to try some of her new candies."

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm assuming that you don't mean flying something like in Anakin's endless parade of sims?" Ivanova asked, shaking her head. "Only in Fandom." She glanced down at her tray. "Says the girl who just bought her lunch from a chicken."

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Ah, no - my attempts at flying his sims have been truly glorious crashes. Give me a good old-fashioned broom anytime," Kiki says emphatically.

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
"Y'know, that sounds like something that would be fun." She sighed. "I missed the meeting when you three were there with your brooms. I just remembered that that was where I knew you from - Flight Club."

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, that's too bad," Kiki sympathizes. "I'm assuming Flight Club is going to keep going this semester - I'm betting Anakin will feature the broom-fliers again," Kiki pauses a moment, thinking of Harry, then, a little guiltily, of John...well Harry had gone without a word, so she was free to do as she liked, anyway. "We can ask him about it, and even if he doesn't plan to feature them again, I can try to teach you. It's a little tricky, especially if you're not naturally tuned to it."

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
"Really?" Ivanova asked, brightening. "That would be amazing! And I do hope Anakin keeps up the club. I gave him the sim data for a Starfury - a little fighter that I know pretty well. I can give you a hand on that one. I'd offer to take you out in my White Star, but I had to leave it at home."

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
"Sounds great," Kiki nods, "It'd be nice to have someone actually really teach me how to fly one of these things so I don't aim it straight into the ground. Or a building. Or another craft. Or...anything else, y'know."

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
"It's not really that hard," Ivanova replied. "Well, maybe a little if you aren't used to it. I find the ones that Anakin has us flying a bit tricky. All this constant exceleration. Makes them hard to maneouver. And must burn out fuel really quickly."

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Kiki nods again, trying to follow, then laughs. "To be honest, planes and spaceships really are a bit out of my depth," she admits. "The nice thing about brooms is that you don't need to rely too much on all of those technical aspects - you just...sit back and enjoy the feeling."

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Ivanova couldn't help it. She snickered.

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Kiki realizes how she phrased her words and flushes, but says with tolerant grace, "Oh, well...I seem to always say things the most inept way." She shakes her head with a chuckle.

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
"It's alright," Ivanova chuckles. "It's been known to happen to the best of us. Nice talking to you, I really have to get going. I'll see you at Flight Club, maybe?"

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Absolutely - as long as it's still running!" Kiki grins. "I'll see you soon. Good luck with your classes."

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
"Thanks! Bye!" She hurried.

[[Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. Night!]]
