Outside the Command Center, All Day Friday

Inside the Command Center, with the doors propped open, Dean Zordon can't help but hear the endless chatter of students going back and forth during enrollment. Unfortunately, stuck in his tube, he really has no choice.

Isabel made her way through the crowds and stopped when she saw her roommate. Somehow they'd missed each other in the room this morning. "Hi Xander," she called out.

Angel and mornings were so rarely a good combination. Still dazed from having to navigate the chaos of signup, he didn't look where he was going and certainly might be likely to bump into somebody like the occasionally ungraceful lug that he was.

Isabel stumbled when some knocked into her. "Hey! Ouch!"

Angel immediately looked apologetic. "Sorry. My bad." He gestured to his head to indicate fuzzy thinking. "Not really much for mornings." He blinked, realizing he didn't know this person. "Oh. Hey. You're new."

And another good-looking one, Isabel thought before smiling and sticking out her hand. "Yeah, mornings are no fun. Isabel Evans, nice to meet you."

"Angel. Just Angel. Nice to meet you too," Angel stuck his own hand out and hoped she didn't mind that his room temperature hand might feel a little cold.

His hand felt a bit cold and for some reason her mind jumped to the conversations she had with Belthazor (http://www.livejournal.com/users/izzyalienqueen/1005.html?thread=7405) ~~[still being sp'd]~~and the one she had with Veronica last night. She wondered if this was the campus vampire and if there was any tactful way she could ask. But when in doubt, go for polite. "Did you register for all your classes?"

"Registered," Angel said. "I think. I put my name down a lot. Hopefully in the right places. You?"

"I did. Although since I'm only considered a sophomore, I'm not sure I'm going to get everything I wanted. What year are you?"

"Senior," Angel said. "Which apparently also means I get conscripted into Student Council. Don't suppose you've run into any other seniors who look like they've got too much time on their hands?" Angel looked hopeful.

"Sorry, I'm lucky I can remember people's names at this point let alone their years." Isabel looked across the room and saw Xander. "I'm sorry, I just saw my roommate. I'd better go and see if he still thinks I'm a hallucination."

"Nice meeting you," Angel said.

[ooc: No prob, work got more insane than I anticipated]

"Hey!" Xander called back, and made his way over to her. "This morning thing? I frown on it. This is my frowny face."

It was probably more 'confused and somewhat rumpled kitten suddenly awakened from a really good dream that involved bringing down the intergalactic mouse conspiracy' than frowny; it was too early in the morning for Xander to actually manage fine muscle control.

{ooc - what's sad? I made the morning joke first, then spent an hour looking for screencaps of Xander yawning, gave up, hit post, and found out Angel had already made it. CURSE YOU FOREHEAD MAN!>

"I understand. Mornings? Definitely not fun." He reminded her more and more of Alex every time she saw him. "Did you sign up for all your classes? I think I saw your name on one of the class list for one of the ones I signed up for."

"Art history?" Xander nodded. "Seemed like a class that wouldn't short out my gray circuits." He coughed. "Uh, I mean, it was totally a coin-flip between that and Quantum Physics. Yeah."

"I can see that." Isabel laughed. "Well I've signed up for Western Lit, Western Civ, U.S. Government and Speech 201 as well. Art History seemed like it would be something different at least." She thought for a moment and then remembered, "I bought some snacks ~~and a very large, covers everything robe. sorry no more free shows...~~ when I went into town yesterday. They're on the shelf. Feel free to help yourself if you get hungry."

"Hey, that's great - ~~except for the part about the robe~~! Thanks!"

"No problem! I'll see you later!"

Janet covered her yawn as she waved at Isabel.

Isabel waved back, smiling when Janet yawned.

OOC: Later tonight works for me. Fridays are my good day at work, as I'm all alone in the office 'til noon. :)
