Library (12/20/05)

Janet ran towards the library. She'd overslept, and it looked like no one else had gotten it open yet. She flipped on the lights, unloaded the food from last night's shopping trip with Parker, made sure that no one but library staff could get to the food, and sat down to start eating while she finished up her Classics project.

French bread

Granny Smith and Tulip apples
Belgian Chocolate truffles
Chocolate Marble Cheesecake
Maple Walnut fudge
Wine and champagne (hidden)

"I'm doing what I can," Rory said, sounding exasperated. "I have to get someone who knows Special Collections better than me, and that probably means Zero. Look, just stay put and don't do anything to aggravate the situation, okay? Please?"

"Well, that's good. Please, though - don't do anything to put yourselves in danger? Please? Xander said there was a dragon and stuff, and I've been in there. Just stay where you are, don't poke anything that looks like it might bite, and just - just stay safe, okay?"

Rory's voice might have been shaking a little bit, though she'd blame that fact on the phone jostling as she moved through the dorms looking for Zero.

Rory rolled her eyes. "Right. Be there in a few," she said, snapping the phone shut and knocking on the door of room 220.

"Zero? Boys are dumb and I need your help."

Zero looks up from packing. "In general, or are we talking about specific boys?"

"In general, but Logan and Xander specifically right now. They're stuck in special collections," Rory sighed.

Zero immediately abandons what she's doing and grabs her Special Collections Survival Kit backpack and the mallet. "Right. Off to do violence an' save Logan an' Xander. Who's coming wif?"

"Um, do you think we should try to grab the other aides? I don't know if we have time. Xander mentioned a dragon," Rory frowned. "I'm coming, though."
