Library (12/20/05)

Janet ran towards the library. She'd overslept, and it looked like no one else had gotten it open yet. She flipped on the lights, unloaded the food from last night's shopping trip with Parker, made sure that no one but library staff could get to the food, and sat down to start eating while she finished up her Classics project.

creme fraiche
Blinis with raspberry preserves
French bread
Grapes
Pears
Granny Smith and Tulip apples
Belgian Chocolate truffles
Chocolate Marble Cheesecake
Maple Walnut fudge
Wine and champagne (hidden)

"Lucky you," said Janet, sipping at a glass of champagne sparkling grape juice. "Right now? I'm doing absolutely nothing but gorging myself on library assistant food. Finally! We have our reward for spending three weeks straight cleaning up the zombie stew."

"Let's hear it for gorging," Sam laughed. "And you deserve it, after that mess you had to deal with. Ugh. Not that you didn't take samples for further study, I'm sure, but still. Yick."

"Don't let me forget--I've got your gifts in my room. I'll have to drop them by later."

"I left yours in my room too," said Janet. "I have just about everyone else's here, but I couldn't carry everything." She grinned. "Of course I took samples for further study. The results were fascinating, if slightly gross."
