Library (12/20/05)

Janet ran towards the library. She'd overslept, and it looked like no one else had gotten it open yet. She flipped on the lights, unloaded the food from last night's shopping trip with Parker, made sure that no one but library staff could get to the food, and sat down to start eating while she finished up her Classics project.

French bread

Granny Smith and Tulip apples
Belgian Chocolate truffles
Chocolate Marble Cheesecake
Maple Walnut fudge
Wine and champagne (hidden)

Marty notices the shrimp cocktail and pouts. "Shrimp cocktail? Let me guess... you're hoarding gourmet food back there aren't you?"

"Lots of it," says Janet cheerfully, looking over the back table and deciding on a Belgian truffle next. "This is what we get for putting up with you guys all semester. Not to mention the zombie stew."

"Hey, I got you a little something for Christmas."

Marty looks over the gifts and longingly at the food with high interest. "Very interesting. Are you into banjos, Janet? I didn't think you were into that kind of music."

[OOC: Janet already got her gift from Marty right?]

Janet bites into a piece of fudge. "Me?" She made a face. "Don't be ridiculous. But after that gift you got me, I thought it might be your kind of thing." She gives Marty a curious look. "I didn't think you cared so much about the kind of music I listen to."

OOC: Oh, yes, indeed. What do you think inspired Marty's gift?

"Hmmm.. I think she's onto me!", he thinks. "Better check to make sure."

"Well gosh Janet, that hurts. I thought we were friends. Why wouldn't I be interested in your music interests. Are you a big fan of country music? Did you watch a lot of hee-haw?"

Janet shakes her head. "I thought you were the one who was into this whole country inbred thing lately. Have you even taken a look at my CDs?" She doesn't even deign to acknowlege the Hee-Haw question. Any show that features gingham bikinis should be ignored as completely as possible.
