Criminal Justice: Free Period

[OOC: This is it for this semester! Hope to see most of you in a few weeks for Advanced Criminal Justice!!! Class Info Link.]

Even though there was no actual class today, the Criminal Justice classroom was open during the normal class time. Tick was sitting at his desk reading the copy of Crime and Punishment Marty had given him for Christmas.

Rory would be posting the semester grades whenever she stopped by so students could check how they did over the past several weeks. In addition, any student who wanted to stick around and study for other exams or just wanted to talk to Tick or each other were perfectly welcome to do so.

For the record, Lockheed was sleeping back in Room 141. He wasn't waking up at 8:00 if he didn't have to.

ETA: There is now coffee and donuts in the room thanks to Marty.

ETA: And now there are grades and frighteningly cheerful teenagers.

"Thanks," Anakin said, his cheeks flushing a little at the praise. He whispered, "I like being good at things."

"Not surprising, since you are. Good at things, I mean. Lots of things. You've very multitalented," Rory whispered back.

She refrained from listing anything she thought he was particularly good at.

She also wondered where her brain had wandered off to.

Anakin's mind was certainly not wandering back to a few evenings back. No reason to think he was.

It was just warm in the class, that's all.

Thus the flushed cheeks.

"You're pretty talented yourself," he replied, raising an eyebrow and giving her a small smile.

It was indeed very warm, which explained not only why Rory was so pink, but also provided a reason for her sudden lightheadedness.

"Thanks." She poked his leg with the toe of her shoe. "Are you doing anything later?"

Anakin smiled. "I have ten of the exact same outfit. It's not like packing is going to be all that thought-provoking. And I'd love the company."

"Good to know. Um, I have to go to the library. We're having a party for the aides. Maybe I'll stop by your room after?"
