Office Hours - Abnormal Psychology
Jenny is sitting in her office, quietly typing on her laptop. She has some Solstice gifts for any members of her class that might stop by, something special for her TA, and presents for the Investigators' Club members who have magical abilities.
She'll ask Kiki to deliver the other giftsin the interests of promoting roleplay with new people.
She'll ask Kiki to deliver the other gifts

Kiki pauses. "The witchly studies go... with mixed progress," she answers at length. Kiki wears her heart on her sleeve, so it's easy to see a very mixed bag of jumbled emotions crossing her face.

"Sounds like most of the people into the weird and wild world of mysticism run into accidents at this school," says Jenny. "This? Is not of the good. Has anyone been looking into that? Sounds like you've got some nice classes."
Jenny grins. "Now, far be it from me to try to lure in students, but next semester? I'm adding a Magical Theories 101 course. Not practical studies, but something you might be interested in."
{{OOC: I'm trying to lure you in as I've never roleplayed with you before. And I don't know your fandom at all, but Kiki sounds perfect for the course.}}

"I just got this for Christmas, from Mr. Aziraphale," Kiki says; her voice softens when she mentions the giver's name. He is obviously very dear to her. A smile steals over Kiki's lips. "Probably in an attempt to keep me from filling his shop with purple avocados again."
[ooc: Yay! She's absolutely on board for that!]

"Mr. Phale?" asks Jenny. "I've met him. Nice guy, gotta say. Makes a mean cup of tea." She pauses, and tilts her head a bit as she thinks about the purple avocados. "Betcha those made a pretty tasty guacamole, though."
{{OOC: Wonderful! That was my other purpose in getting you to deliver the gifts! You know, besides getting you to deliver the gifts. Which I would have done last night, but I'd left the gift list on my work computer. Give me a minute and I'll bring up the gifts in the next comment.}}

Kiki pulls a wry smile. "I might be rather hopeless at conjuring, but I'm really quite good at transfiguration. Mr. Aziraphale was marvelous at helping me get rid of the infestation... particularly when it, um, escaped into the town."
[Ooc: Hee, yay devious! :D I just hope it doesn't conflict with her other classes, when the schedule comes out.]

Jenny reaches down and tugs a box filled with wrapped packages out from under her desk. "I almost forgot! What do I owe you for the deliveries?"
OOC: Is it devious if I tell you about it? :) If it conflicts, well, maybe we can figure something out anyway. *crosses fingers* And give me five minutes while I go and add gift notes to that post, since I forgot to copy it in. Eep! I hope that format works for you.

Kiki looks at the packages. "Let's see... looks like several books..." she muses, guessing at their weight. "For everything altogether that should be about $27.00."
[ooc: Sure, it's just being honestly devious. ;-) Is it all the ones on that list except for Mac and Eighth?]

"Sounds like you've got a good friend," says Jenny. "Someone who's interested in you and your life. Which, gotta say? Pretty much always a good thing."
"Gotta be more than that," says Jenny. "You sure?"
{{OOC: I think that's an oxymoron. :) Yes, it is! I actually realized I'd forgotten to list off the students who'd finished out Jenny's class, so that might up Kiki's price. If so, that's fine.}}

Kiki skims the list of students to get glowing snowmen. That would alter the price a little, she mused. "$33.00," she says finally, then pauses. "You know, I've never had anyone bargain me up before."
[For the delivery, do you mind if I just link all the relevant people to your post?]

Jenny shrugs, bemused. "Hey, it's the holidays," she says. "You deserve fair pay for running all over heck, don't you?" She pulls $40.00 out of her wallet and hands it over to Kiki. "And buy yourself some coffee or something with the change, okay? Think of it as a Solstice present from someone who's glad you did the work instead."
OOC: That's perfectly fine with me!

"Oh, what a beautiful figurine," she said. "I used to dance, at least until I was in college. No time to keep up with that and the double major."
OOC: Oh, God, did you just give me a sculpture made of Replicator bits? Sneaky and evil of you!

“I’m fond of watching people dance.
HumansPeople can move so gracefully when they’re trained.”OOC: Like mother, like daughter. Hee. Hee. Hee.

The word choice makes Jenny blink, but she recovers quickly. "Well, you know, it was fun," she says. "Lots of modern dance, lots of ballet and a bit of jazz, with a few other things thrown in. Then? Life it and my spare time flew down the tubes."

OOC: Problem, though--I'm doing grades tomorrow. So the essay has to be done Wednesday by noon.

OOC: Actually, class sign-ups won't be starting until all the new players have been accepted so that all old and new players have an equal chance at being accepted into classes.
