ETA: CLASS IS NOW CLOSED.
"Just as a reminder, you guys should have all your make-up homework in to me by today," says Jenny. "Talk about your experiments and how they've gone so far, ask me questions if you have them, and use as much of the period as you need to go out and find people to experiment on."

OOC: My boss is coming in tomorrow, which means I need to be caught up on everything as of now. Grading shall happen later in the week. OCD threadscoming soon are up. Also, I don't think I got all comment notifications for last week. I'll go back and check the threads tonight.

Re: Make-Up Homework
Freud is widely known as the father of psychoanalysis, the study of the unconscious mind to learn about our conscious thought processes and actions. One of his theories was that events ( both traumatic and normal) which happen to us through our lives are stored (or repressed) in our unconscious mind (that which we are unaware of) but can influence our conscious mind though our actions.
Psychoanalysts use a variety of techniques to attempt to uncover what is in the unconscious mind including the Rorschach inkblot test, where the patient has to say what they see in an ambiguous ink blot picture. Free association, where the patient is encouraged to say the words they associate with others without thinking about what to say, this, would then reveal what it behind certain issues they have and dream analysis, where Freud believed our unconscious thoughts would manifest themselves as other objects in our dreams.
Freud’s theory on the importance of the unconscious mind has been criticised on a number of counts, namely it is impossible to find out exactly what is happening in this part of the mind as it is intrinsically hidden from our conscious mind
