Tara is in her office, finalising the grades for her classes.

If you want to talk to her before your grade is posted, this is your last chance!

(And for any of the students who have still not replied to the last week of classes - I am still accepting slowplay until I wake tomorrow morning - evening FH time - and post the marks. There will be no class today - last week was it.)

"Hi, Tara. I got something for you." Angela feels slighlty uncomfortable. She hasn't really talked to the teacher outside class in weeks, but she would feel worse if she gave presents to all her teachers but one. Especially given Tara's help in the souling spell.

Moving a little awkwardly, she hands the gifts over. "Nothing big," she mumbles.

"Thank you, Angela," Tara replies, visibly touched. She strokes the terracotta of the pot, admiring the violets before setting it down on her desk to unwrap the small box.

"These are beautiful," she says softly. "Thank you."

"It's nothing," Angela says. "I enjoyed a lot of your class."

She pulls her sweater closer to herself. "How have you been? And how's Shane, anyhow? I haven't seen her in weeks."

"Shane's not been well," Tara replies, her mouth twisting sadly. "She's just got this flu bug that won't seem to shake. She's been doing better the past few days, though, and I'm hoping we can go away again for the holidays."

She grins. "Maybe somewhere with skiing. Not that I can, but learning might be fun!"

"I tried skiiing once," Angela admits. "Ended up entirely black and blue. Maybe you'll have better luck."

"Anyhow -- have a good break. Tell Shane I said happy holidays and I'm sorry she's sick."
