"Because I'm better at everything than he is," Angel said as he took a seat near Jenny. "He's also got a chip in his head. Long as that's in, he can't harm anything human. Which is actually funny enough that I could almost lose the soul just thinking about it."

"Tough to say with Spike," Angel admitted. He leaned back in his chair. "Spike's lazier than I am but he's also more unpredictable. He's not much for the artistic schemes of torment, but I wouldn't rule out him setting a town on fire just because his TV was broken that night. Not sure if the chip would get in the way of that though."

Angel grimaced. "A Slayer."

"It's a destiny," Angel said. "You can't learn it. Though some of the magic types here might be able to. I can sometimes sense when vampires are around, but not like Methos and Duncan can with their buddies it's not always a definite. Put one in front of me and I'll be happy to tell you who doesn't have a heartbeat. Behind my back and a hundred feet away? Usually has to be family."
