Investigator's Club Meeting - 2pm

At 2pm, Parker put up a sign on the door of the library:

By the sign-in sheet there is an application to be in the club. Take one and turn it in to m.parker@fandomhigh.net by next Friday. Applications will be considered by club advisors and officers.

"These suckers are becoming a serious problem. Zero, do you want to take point on this? I know you've investigated them a good bit already."

"Hey, Zero," said Janet ~~even though Zero hadn't posted yet~~. "Sam thinks she can make a live gremlin trap for us."

Sam nodded. "We'd have to test it out first, though." She turned to Bridge. "I could really use some help on this, if you're interested."

"Dude, yes!" Bridge says with his usual enthusiasm. "Trapping gremlins would be fun!"

"I know some hunting snares that might be of use." Callisto shrugged. "Of course, the little bastards do have opposable thumbs so they might be able to undo them."

A live gremlin to ~~poke~~ study would be swerval.

"Maybe you should talk to Dr. House, when he gets here, about lab space for it. Not to mention anti-venin. Most of the time the effects wear off in 24 hours, but it'd be nice to avoid the more extreme reactions."

We need to get venom from a live one before we can even make antivenom, so I really do think a live capture should be a priority. An' if we get a live one, we can start workin' on a repellent, maybe.

"We'd have to determine what triggers the reflex to bite by observation," said Janet. "Probably with plastic or cloth dolls as targets."

I was operating under the theory they bite because they're mean little sadistic grinders, but yeah.

When the gremlins came up in conversation, Lockheed perked up and even stopped eating cookies for a moment. It was FUN to shoot fire at those annoying things.

Sam noticed the dragon perking up at the mention of gremlins. "Lockheed? You want to give us a hand with the gremlin trap? They want a live one," she said, giving Janet and Zero the look she reserved for mad scientists, "but we'd love the help."

The prospect of getting a live gremlin was less interesting to Lockheed, but it could still be fun. Lockheed nodded to Sam. Then he ate another cookie.

Alanna munched on a cookie. "I can see if I can find something at home that might help."

"Thanks, Alanna. If you do find anything, let us know when you get back. You don't have email in Trebond, do you?"

Alanna laughed. "Not even close. I have no idea how I'm going to expalin the couple of photos I nabbed. And I'm not going to Trebond, I hope. Just Chorus."

Piper cringes when gremlins are brought up.

"Piper? Any magic suggestions?"

"I could do some research to see if there are any gremlin vanquishing spells," Piper suggested.

Veronica hadn't realized that this meeting was going to talk about all the things that embarrassed her throughout the week.

She put her head down and ignored this conversation, too.

Marty throws a wadded up ball of paper at V's head. He gives her a look as if to say "Get over it already!"

Veronica looks up when the paper hits her shoulder ~~cause Marty has bad aim, yo~~ and gives him a look that says, "Do that again and I'll slap you."
