Jake is sitting crosslegged on the desks again, laptop in his lap. Next to him lies a piece of paper with a list on. Holiday Diversity is the title. A bunch of names are listed up as well. Jake's drinking coffee and regarding the laptop screen thoughtfully.

Her blush deepened and she looked down, not sure what to say.

Angel ducked his head so he could look at her. "That's pretty too."

She gave him a shy smile and squeezed his hand. It was almost as if she'd forgotten they were in the middle of a meeting and there was probably a room full of people watching them.

Angel squeezed her hand back. "See? Sometimes it's nice to take a chance on reaching out to somebody."

"Yeah, I guess you're right."

A tiny smile touched Angel's lips. "I'm glad you didn't push me away like Logan did."

"Wait, what?" Veronica asked. "I'm somehow thinking the situations weren't the same." Or at least hoping, if they were, I could join in or take pictures or something.

"What?" Angel blinked, then shook his head. "Oh no. Totally different. We were in the men's room."

Veronica pulled her hand away.

"Woah. Wait a second. You were reaching out to Logan in the men's room? For something more beautiful? What is going on?"

"What?" Angel blinked in confusion. "Veronica, what on earth are you talking about?"

"I don't know, you're confusing me again," she said. "I thought we were talking about, you know," she gestured aimlessly between them. "But then you brought up Logan again and..."

"Veronica," Angel laughed, "I am not interested in Logan. Not like that. Or at all." The look of confusion was back on Angel's face.

"Thanks for clearing that up," she said, letting out a huge sigh of relief.

She really wanted to ask if she'd understood him right about her... but wasn't quite sure how to phrase the question, so she looked down again, thinking.

Angel noted her changed demeanor. "Did I say something wrong?"

She shook her head. "No, but, oh hell, after this week, I have no dignity left." She looked him in the eye. "Are you interested in me like that? Just to be clear?"

Angel gave her a shy smile. "Yes?"

Veronica returned his smile. "Good."

Angel's smile wasn't so shy anymore. "Oh. Good."

"Yeah, good," she repeated, still smiling. At least something good came out of that whole gremlin bite experience.

"Oh crap!" she said. "I never called Piper to see if she was okay. I haven't seen her since B... um... we got back to the dorms the other night. I should really go and check on her. Um, what are you doing later?"

She stood up and slung her bag over her shoulder.
