Rehearsal #2

The ~~Dean~~ Principal sits in the theater. The set has been built... they only await... a script.

The Tick was ready for any costuming issues that people needed. Anyone who had issues last week should stop by. And anyone who needed new costumes should see what Tick can do for them.

"Erm. Mister Tick? Any way we can work a noose into Joseph's costume?"

Tick checked the box. "I have a tie!" he said, pulling out a glittery, glittery tie. "I think it would look rather snazzy with the rest of your outfit!"

"Well, yeah, but . . . how d'you think it'd look on Bridge's outfit?" Anders's fingers are not twitching in a subtle yet alarming way. No, they are not. "Knotted loosely? And possibly on backwards?"

"A tie? Wouldn't work at all. It's not super enough."

"Well then . . . anything to go around his neck? ~~A choke collar maybe?~~ Neckcloth? ~~Anything I can throttle him with?~~ I just kinda think his neck looks kinda bare."

"No, anything else around his neck would ruin the effect of the cape," Tick said after glancing at Bridge's costume.

"Huh. Okay -- hey, cape!" Anders grins toothily. "Thanks, dude."

"You're welcome, Anders!" Tick said. "I wonder what that was about..."

Rory wandered over, looking unhappy.

"Sir? I'm a tree."

Tick was confused. "Rory? I'm pretty sure you're a person. I see no leaves."

"No, sir." Rory waved the script. "Tree. Me. My part. I am a tree."

"Ah! What kind of tree?" Tick said. He hadn't seen the script.

"A talking Christmas tree. Presumably pine," Rory replied poutily.

"Ah. Don't worry, Rory! I'll make sure you're the best looking Christmas tree in the building!"

"Why does that not reassure me?" Rory asked rhetorically, dropping her forehead into her palm.

Tick looked hurt. "Don't you trust me?"

After singing Chipmunks and attemping to learn to drum, John walks over the Tick.

"Uh, this the costume place, sir?"

"Hello, John! It sure is! Stay right there and I'll get it!" Tick walked off to the side to grab something big. And blocky. And wooden.

John winces and winces and winces. "Sir, that looks...heavy."

Tick lifts it without a problem. "That's why it has wheels!" Tick said, pointing at the casters clearly taken from at least three different office chairs. "Get in it! See how it fits!"

John looks questionably at the costume before getting into the costume. It feels very weird.

"Uh, how do I control it?"

"Just walk! You know those big circular things babies use to walk around? With the wheels on the bottom? This is like that, but bigger, boxier, wooden, and with a spot for drums!"

John pushes a bit. He feels like Fred Flintstone. "Sir, this is...quite genius. Do I look like a Giant Little Wooden Boy?"

"No, John. You look like a Giant Little Wooden Drummer Boy! Minus the drums. We should get those in here..."
