Daniel's still looking pretty happy, but still moving gingerly at the front of the classroom.

"Morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. I'll have the homework on my desk, please, at the end of the lesson.  Now, instead of my scheduled lecture, we're going to have a question and answer discussion. We're going to talk about what you want to talk about. That okay with you? Or should I continue talking about Sais?"

He grins.

"Someone will ask a question, and we'll see if anyone else knows the answer. If not, then I'll do my best to answer it.

Now? Any questions?"

At the end of the lesson, he smiles.

"Pick one of the subjects we talked about, and I want a hundred words on it for Wednesday. Thank you everyone. Have a good couple of days."

"You said we were gonna talk about what we wanted and then asked for someone to ask questions and other people to answer them, and if they can't, you'll try. No Egypt or archaeology, and I'm genuinely interested in Peter Piper's peck of pickled peppers and where he put them." Perhaps it was just that he was on a roll for getting people to want to kick his ass. Yes, that must have been it.

Daniel just pulled off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. "Okay. Does anyone know about Peter Piper's peck of pickled peppers for Mr Kawalsky?" he asked, addressing the class.

"Cupboard?" Cameron tries.

Daniel nods. "That's a great answer, Cameron," he says quickly. "Now. Anyone have any questions about Egypt or archaeology?"

Daniel resisted the urge to groan. "Yes, Major Mr Kawalsky?"

"Ah, you know that this is a subject of debate amongst Egyptologists, don't you?" Daniel tries to smile, but it's looking slightly strained. "Who knows anything about it?"

Kawalsky looked around at the class, waiting to see if any of them had an answer that would make Daniel's head explode.

Daniel's smile was seemingly frozen in place.

"Now, do you really believe in martians, Mr Mitchell?"

"No, sir. I just saw some whacky theory on internet that aliens build the pyramids. It sounded less boring than 'Egyptians', sir." Cameron said sheepishly.

"Everyone knows the aliens are really from Venus. They use all those clouds to hide their cities from us. Don't want us gatecrashing."

"You mean we've actually got some of us out there too?"

"I dunno. But it'd make sense. Maybe some people got there by choice, like through.. I dunno.. a Roswell exchange program. Or maybe they got abducted or fell through one of those wormhole things by accident."

"I was watching this show on TV the other night, Landscape or something, and it had wormholes. That's what gave me the idea. You never know, man."
