The Library (12/02/05)

Janet opens up the library and starts working.

Marty scowls. "He and Darla were having quite the conversation the other day at Phale's. You tell me."

"Mmm. Aeryn mentioned it." She sighed and took a seat, keeping her voice down, and smiling extra-sweet in Bel's direction. "So. Has Wings mentioned to you the idea of the 'good guys' getting organized, a la JA? I'm mostly annoyed it wasn't my idea first."

Marty nods. "Yeah. He mentioned it the day I got out of the clinic. I'm thinking we should all get some white cowboy hats to identify ourselves."

Martly looks over briefly to Wesley. "What's beanpole's deal over there? He a new aide too?"

"Gah. Like we'd have him." Parker glares over at him. "He's doing some special research project, with Dr. Pierson as an advisor. All of the aides are tormenting him because he's a supercilious twit."

"Cowboy hats. No way." She makes a face. "Hell, even pins would be stupid. But... a club? Some kind of, I don't know. Cover club?" She frowns. "Zero's investigating stuff through hers. Maybe, if she doesn't mind, we could join, and work out a way to get people into that?"

Marty makes a face. "Yeah. He was Angelus's best girlfriend. Made a lot of noise the night we did the whole soul-job mojo. The other day he was poking around magical texts at Phale's bookshop."

Marty blinked a few times, suddenly realizing something.

"Could you check to see if he's checked anything out of the library?"
