Wesley strides up to the circulation desk and addresses Prof. Pierson. "Sir? I'm here to begin my studies."

((ooc: I know you've already got a Big Emotional Plot to deal with; fob Wes off if appropriate.))

Methos looks tired, but nods. "Good morning. Let's ajorn to my office, shall we?"

Wes begins to follow Methos.

[[Lucky Methos. With the head-going-overness, not with the Wesley-following.]]

"Now, then. Let me see if I remember this because the mun's brain is overflowing, oh noes!. Your assignment from another institution was to compare different editions of magical texts for substantive changes between them, correct?"

"Substantially, Sir, although I'd describe them as esoteric rather than magical; they're histories, not spellbooks, by and large."

[[OOC: The letters are here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/jerusalem_s/17046.html?thread=254870#t254870) and here (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/328663.html?thread=15818967#t15818967) ]

"Okay. I know you've been working on the Necromomicon, and since the very thought of that turns my bones to water, I'm going to suggest we skip to the second one and come back to the Necromomicon later. Do you need a copy of a pre-1800 edition of "The History of Witchcraft"? I believe we do have one in the regular stacks.

"I'd like to suggest putting the Necromomicon last. I believe we have a copy of the Pergamum Codex but I haven't cataloged it yet. I can be sure to do that before you reach that part in the studies."

"Since The History of Witchcraft is in the regular stacks, may I take my copy there as well?"

"Yes, that should be fine. Please report back to me when you have assembled the ten errors. I'm sure that you want your superiors back in England to grade you, but since I am overseeing this project, I'd like a chance to look over your work myself."

[[And lo, a stick-up-his-ass-Englishman did make fun of Death, and lo! Was he smited but good.]]

"Thank you." Wes leaves the office, book in hand, and heads off to the card catalog. [[Minions, note that we have left the no-harassment zone.]]

[[And lo, the smiting did cause said Englishman to grow stubble and to become reserved and angstymelancholy, and it was all good.]]
