Janet opens up the library and starts working.

With a cheerful wave to Marty, Angela joins Janet behind the desk. "What can I help with today?"

Janet grins. "Today? It's Friday. Pretty much we slack unless someone asks us a question directly. Though if we want to look busy, we check in overdue books or start processing new orders. I can show you how to do that."

"Can we start with new orders?" Angela asks. "Actually, it's good we have a quiet day for me to just get used to being here."

[janet_fraiser]

"They're easy enough to do." Janet proceeds to show Angela how to do the new orders while they chat. "I don't know about a quiet day, but one that doesn't generally involve much actual work."

"That's almost as good," Angela says, watching Janet tap information into the new order form. "Wait. How do we do it if we want more than one copy again?"

[janet_fraiser]

"You actually have to double-click on the 'number of copies' and manually input it," said Janet. "Why they don't have a drop-down menu there, I'll never know."

"Yeah, by the end of Friday, no one's really in the mood to do actual studying."

"Oh, okay, it's one of those things that doesn't actually make sense. Gotcha. Can I try and do the whole thing for the next book?"

"And ... wait, people study here? On any weekday?"

[janet_fraiser]

"Yeah, pretty much that," said Janet, rolling her eyes at the computer. "Sure, here you go." She handed over the list of books to order. "I'll let you know if you make any mistakes."

"Not everyone's into study hall, I guess." Janet shrugged. "I guess it gets a little crowded. But, yeah, the tables are there, so we let people study in here."

Angela runs her finger down the list of titles, noticing the next one to order is a biography of Mozart. She taps in the information, pausing and cursing at the screen occasionally when something doesn't seem to work right. Finally, she gets to the confirmation screen. "I think I did it," she says, motioning for Janet to check.

Janet leaned over and looked at the monitor. "Oh, yeah, you've pretty much got it," she said. "Just do the final confirmation, and send it in, and then we get the books. Usually later, rather than sooner."
