Rory's eyes went wide, and her features dropped into a pout. "Oh no, don't give people ideas. I'll end up a dreidl or a reindeer or a snowperson or something awful."

Tick also overheard Rory as he was looking for something for Bridge. He mentally crossed "reindeer" off his list. Rory would probably object to "elf," as well.

Anakin's eyes went a little wide. "Um, I'm sure you won't, really. The Dean is very fair," he babbled. He tried to think of something that would be Rory-appropriate. "Maybe, like, um, the Ewok gift fairy?" His blushed crimson. "Which isn't even this holiday. Uh, ignore me."

"Aren't Ewoks those short teddy bear-like things?" Rory asked, looking vaguely insulted. "Either you or Han told me about them awhile back. Do you have some kind of Christmas-like holiday with an Ewok gift fairy?"

"Well, the Ewoks do," Anakin said. "The Jedi aren't so big on celebrations of our own, but we'll participate in the ones on a planet we might be visiting." He looked down with a slight grimace at the costume in his hand. "Wouldn't want to be rude."

He shuffled his feet. "And it's not a bad thing to be an Ewok. They have these great big eyes and they're generally cuddly and adorable."

If someone was ever going to spontaneously combust through sheer embarrassment, it would be Anakin Skywalker right about now.

"Cuddly and adorable?" Rory arched a brow, and smiled. "I can work with that." She sighed, and tried to look solemn. "I'll really have to stretch my acting abilities on that one, though, since I am anything but cuddly and/or adorable."

"Yeah, it'll be a real challenge for you," Anakin said with a grin. "You might have to stay up late working on getting just the right facial expressions. Ewok facial expressions are a subtle art." He snickered. "Not really. Think Vladdie, slightly toned down, and you've got a good idea of a typical Ewok."

He blushed again. "Not that I'm comparing you to a dog. Blast. Um." He stared at the floor. "Why is there never a trap door when you could really use one?"

"I didn't think you were making that comparison," Rory giggled. "But I really, really want to meet an Ewok now. They sound so cute."

"As for the trap door, it would be too convenient," she sighed. "Trust me, I had to endure a painfully descriptive explanation of lesb-" She broke off, blushing scarlet. "Um, suffice it to say that Tara and Shane are not shy. At all."

Anakin's eyebrows shot up. "Seriously?" he squeaked. "How des...I mean, how embarrassing for you."

Rory nodded, pretty sure her toes were blushing at this point. "I got to learn way, way more than I ever wanted to about what they get up to in their free time. This is what I get for asking questions, really."

Anakin's eyes were carefully innocent. "And here Obi-Wan's always telling me that a curious mind is a good thing."
