"Thank you for volunteering." Dean Bristow glances down at his notes. "I don't have a part for you at the moment, but I'm sure I can devise something."

"Volunteering?" Rory asks weakly. "Oh...um. Okay. Lucky me. I don't play the banthabell, though, and I'm a terrible singer." Her face lights up as though she thinks either of these things will save her.

The Tick showed up by the Nativity carrying his large box. There were various materials in it, including spandex, wool, bedsheets, silverware, and a broken-down table.

"Hello, Dean!" he said, setting the box down. "Good evening, Rory."

"Hello, sir," Rory replied, still looking somewhat panicked. She peered into the box. "What are you going to use the silverware for?"
