Into the Black Meeting [Early evening]

Anakin opened up the door to the Flight Club shed and waited for the rest of the club members to arrive.

He turned to them and said, "Hope you all had a good time over the holidays. I've put in a call to Fly By Night in town to see if the owner'd be interested in getting us some time up in some real Earth airplanes. With that in mind, I've changed the simulator to fly like a Cessna 172, a typical aircraft on this world. It's very easy and user friendly."

He yanked at his braid. "If you'd like to fly the real thing, please put your name down on the list and I'll get back to you as soon as they get back to me about the number of students he can take at any one time."

He clasped his hands together. "That's all I've got today. Have fun. Try not to break anything."

Cameron sees the sign for the sign up and wriggles free from Vala's arms. He falls to the ground, his balance wonky but he quickly runs off to the table and barks, trying to draw Vala's attention. He puts his front paws against the table and wags his tail excitedly.

Too excitedly. He gets distracted again. That thing is behind him. Barking, he turns around trying to catch it. Damn, but it's fast.

Anakin stared at the wiggling, barking Cam and shrugged. Amazing what you can get used to around here.

Vala comes over and sees the sign-up. She's about to offer to put Cam down for it -- in hopes he'll be big enough to reach the pedals and have opposible thumbs and all by the time it happens... when she sees him.

He's chasing his tail with all the determination and swingle-mindedness a pup can manage.

Vala almost falls over laughing.

It gets tiring after a while and he gives up, having forgotten about the whole flying thing already. Apparently cubs have a short attention span. He notices Vala and happily pads up to her.

Jack is leaning against the wall, holding his ribs and laughing hysterically.

Cameron's ear twitches at the sound and he looks over at Jack. He growls softly, the hairs on his neck rising.

Vala wants to scowl at him in defense of her adorable... cute... fluffy... boyfriend...

...but she's laughing so hard she can't get a decent breath.

Cameron's ears droop as he's being mocked and he goes lie underneath one of the tables. Head resting on his paws, he sulks.

Oh, don't be like that, YoYo!" Vala pleads, getting down on her hands an knees to peer under the table. "Just think of how much worse it could have been! At least you're not bleeding out your ears or stalking Dean Bristow or something, right?"

"Hey, be nice. I helped in Psychology today, right?" Jack's indignation would work better if he could stop giggling.

Jack squats down and holds out his fingers. "Aw, who's a cute little puppy?"

She's barely stopped laughing, but scoops him up again. "You know, you're never, ever," she looks right into his cute little eyes, "ever gonna live this down, loverboy. Remind me to get pictures or video or something...."

"Now," she turns back to show him the table. "You want me to sign you up?"

Before turning his attention back to Vala, Cameron throws a dirty look at Jack. He barks once at her question, which in his dictionary now means yes.

"I'll figure that's a yes. O.K." She leans down and signs them both up for Cessna time as well.

And yes, she does the little paw-print thing next to Cam's name as well.

Aeryn watches for a while, shaking her head. "Who got turned into what now?"

"Oh, well it's nice to find out I'm not the very last to know," Vala says, shaking her head. "Aeryn, this is Cam. He got bit by an evil hamster in the dorms last night and apparently got turned into a wolf cub." Holds up her hand. "I know, it makes no sense to me either. Ask your boyfriend about it... apparently he's been watyching him all day. I only just found out myself."

Cameron turns around, the whole four legs thing gets in the way and he nearly trips. As he looks up at Aeryn, he barks a 'yo' or something that does actually sound like it.

Aeryn has to hold her hand in front of her mouth for a minute because she doesn't want to laugh too obviously. "And John was worried about the Little Drummer Boy," she says. "If I ever turn into anything, please have the mercy to shoot me dead, all right?"

Cameron huffs and whines, his head drops and he hides his nose under his paw out of embarrasment.

"I'm sure I can find someone who'd do it," Aeryn says, mentally checking off the candidates. John wouldn't, but maybe Callisto or Parker... Any of the people in Gun Club, really. John Connor would probably do it...
