*On the tables in front of the students, there is an assortment of supplies. Glass tubes, clear plastic tubing, red dye, gelatin, water, and various other odds and ends.*

*In the front of the classroom is a perky teacher, leaning a model against the chalkboard.*

Today, you guys will be making me a model of the human circulatory system. You may work together in small groups. I will be watching to be certain every person contributes.

She eyes the supplies suspiciously. She has a feeling this is going to get messy...

Cally signs in, and finds Liz. "A model of the circulatory system? In one class?" Cally scratches the back of her head. "Guess it shouldn't be too bad, right? Just like laying out fuel lines, only they're people fuel lines."

Elizabeth grins at Cally. "I'm going to defer to you with the techncial issues here," she says. "I don't tend to do so good with models and things!"

Cally nodding in acknowledgement to Ms. Sidle's statement, turns back to Liz.

"Yeah, sounds good. And this'll be easier than the pedal-powered-couchmobile I built with Anders earlier. Except I guess I gotta be a little more careful." She smiles and starts building the model, humming happily.

Lana gets started working on the model.

Maia signs in and goes over to Lana's table so they can start their model together. Maia holds the glass tubes and giggles "Wanna do a body shot?" She winks at Lana as she fills on of puts some red in the beaker.

Lana rolls her eyes. "I invited Han to join us. Hope you don't mind, but he was all alone there."

Maia turned and looked towards Han and then back at Lana wiggling her eyebrows "I don't mind a bit in fact I bet he'd like a body shot." Maia whispered as she set down the beakers carefully in the holder to start the next step.

"Maia!" Lana turns red and glances at Han hoping he didn't hear. "Geez, embarrass me a little, why don't you?"

Han wanders over, the finished heart with an odd six chambers in his hand.

"Thanks, ladis. You got any of the veining done?"

"Yeah just got the geletin flowing for it actually, its just about ready to pour, I guess we place it in the mini fridge to harden.." Maia consults her sheet as she pours the geletin into a mold. "Yeah, ok so thats done."

She smirks at Lana's red face. She didn't think Han had overheard as she has managed to say it all before he actually finished the walk over to them.

Maia smiled a smile of total innocence, she winked at Lana and then busied herself making a second set of arteries only this time adding lard to show hardening/blocked arteries in an unhealthy person.

Lana gestures to what they've done so far. "I'm glad you joined us."

"Glad to help out." he drops a wink to let them know he did indeed hear everything. "So, what's next. I got the atriums, ventricals and thersicals labeled on the heart."

He lowers his voice and says "And what exactly are body shots?"

Lana throws her hands up into the air. "I give up! You people are all hopeless!" She laughs despite herself. "But I'm not touching that explanation. You'd better have Maia fill you in."

It was Maia's turn to go three shades of red now. "Well a body shot, well its usually either a shot of alcohol in a test tube" Maia held up a test tube "That is then placed in between a woman's breasts and the other person puts their head down to get the shot or its a double ended um.. test tube and one person puts it in their mouth and the other person blows and it shoots the shot into your mouth." Maia coughed watching Sara to make sure she was not overhearing them. "So yeah that's um the ones I know about" Maia blushed again slightly.

Han laughs quietly. "Maybe when we aren't doing an assignment."

Lana shakes her head. "I can't believe we're having this conversation here. Though... it *is* biology class..."

Maia raised an eyebrow and smiled "Definitely, What about you Lana? Up for some body shots sometime?" Maia gave her an innocent smile yet again.

"I suppose it would depend on whom I was doing body shots *with*," Lana replied archly then giggled.

Maia bite her lip, raised an eyebrow and suppressed a giggle as she looked from Lana to Han then back to Lana.

Han gives her the double eyebrow waggle and starts trying to fit the heart into the model. "We're short a couple of veins here, girls."

"Han, I think you've, um... a human heart only has *four* chambers." Lana looks curiously at his model.

Maia hands him some of the lard/geletin she had mixed up "There he can be an unhealthy Male at the age of 60 with bad cholesteral. or..." Maia went to the mini fridge and pulled out the chilled geletin ones "A healthy 16 year old girl." She beams at Lana and holds out both samples for Han

"But the... *six* chambers...?" Lana shakes her head. "Okay, whatever. But you two are explaining to Ms. Sidle."

Maia grinned and handed him the lard/geletin one. "Go for it. Hardening of the arteries, here we come."

"Oh, mainstock human, right." He pares the thersicles off the model. "Better?"

Lana looked at him curiously. "Really? You have six?"

"Yep." Han shrugs. "I ain't quite human, doll."

Lana looks at him curiously, wondering... No. She is definitely NOT wondering. Not, not not. She *is* blushing though and quickly turns back to the model.

He smiles as she blushes. "Catch me out of class and I'll let you have a taste, sweetheart." Before she can drop anything die of embarassment, he quickly adds, "A kiss kind of taste. My skin enzymes are sweet, not salty like yours."

Lana looks a little embarrassed, but also intrigued. "Maybe... maybe I'll take you up on that."

After a moment he shrugs, signs in and gets to work. The end result is near perfect, although he seems to be working more on intuition than anything else.

Han signs in and looks around. He hates group work. He starts in, molding the shape of the heart first.

Lana goes over to Han, "Hey, why don't you come work with Maia and I. No sense you having to do everything on your own."

Belthazor signed in and got to work, checking out the existing model and consulting his text book and making his own surprisingly good model (with little of the glee he usually displays upon playing with internal organs).

Her model suggests a disturbingly good knowledge of the placement of all the major blood vessels in the human body.

*Zero, somewhat happy, signs in and sets to work. Her model is accurate, if...artistically designed.

Arteries, for instance, are not usually bright green, though where she got the bright green food coloring from is questionable.*

Lilly's model, if not entirely correct- the heart probably isn't actually heart-shaped- is at least very glittery.

This is actually pretty easy for Jaye who's still a little creeped out by all the gleefulness and looks around for gremlins, as long as you don't mind a little creative liberties. Like the colors, for instance.
