Student Council Meeting, Monday November 28th

Phoebe opens up the classroom for the meeting and starts setting up drinks.

Alanna signed in, trying to get her hair to go back under the band.

Rory signed in, looking warily around the room.

Alanna flashed Rory what could almost pass for a friendly smile. In Alanna's head, it even was one.

Faith signs in.

"I'm going to be putting up posters about self-defense classes after the meeting tonight, maybe I'll get more interest." She shrugged. "And safe-walk has apparently died."

Elizabeth signs in.

Parker signs in, still happy about her shoes. Not so happy about no Marty here, though.

"Need help? I thought this is part of why you wanted it cut."

"Which is ridiculous, because with Drusilla out there, it's no mor safe than usual. Not to mention zombies, gremlins, and the occasional homicidal duck." Parker sighs. "You guys tried, though."

Alanna shook her head and gave up on the band. "I was trying to keep it out my eyes. So much for that idea."

"I was wondering if a welcome-back dance in January would be possible?" Parker said tentatively. "Especially if we get new students, it might be a good way to acquaint them with the rest of the studen body."

"Homicidal duck?" Alanna blinked. "Well, I'm still going to be running around in the evening, so hopefully I'll catch word of any trouble. Duck? Like quack quack?"

Alanna nodded. "I'll second that idea. And maybe a little meeting or something before hand? Like, don't worry about the crazy locker?"

"Your hair grows so *fast*. Getting it cut again may be your only option."

"Someone said one of the ducks was chasing the others. With fangs. I don't know *what* that's about." Parker shrugged. "Then again, it could be story. People will believe anything around here. But it's good you're out there." She smiled tiredly. "And thanks for stepping in, now that Marty's gone. We can use the help."

Parker laughed. "Oh, that's a good idea. 'The things in the common room will steal your clothes. Don't leave them there.' 'The squid in the basement is called Sunshine. Feed her calamari, but don't get too close. She's affectionate.' 'Professor Ted is not stoned, he's just unique.'"

"There appears to be a lot of interest in school trips, particularly to Paris, or D.C." Parker smiles. "As soon as I can get a faculty member to sponsor them, I'll work out a proposed schedule for either or both. It looks like no one wants to be gone very long, though, so we may need some kind of help with the travel arrangements. A two-day trip to Paris would hardly be worth it if 20 hours were spent on a plane."
