Celtic Literature and Civilisation Lesson F.I.I.K.

Camulus looks cranky this morning. As in, "I wish to destroy this puny planet my weekend was that bad" cranky. Dark glasses and popping painkillers like they're candy cranky. That kind of cranky. He tosses books at the students. "The Tain Bo Cuilagne. I want the Pillowtalk read for next class."

He sits behind him desk and scowls. "Alright. Exile of the Sons of Uisliu, or the Sorrows of Dierdre. Things you need to know. Conchobar, King of Ulster, banished the sons of Uisliu because the most beautiful woman in the land, Dierdre, whom he was grooming for himself and only himself, chose Nessa instead of him. After chasing them off the island, he appeared to repent, invited them back with important hostages - his son and Fergus mac Roich amongst others. Some deception and an ambush happened, leading to the death of the sons of Uisliu and most of the best warriors of Ulster realising their king was an asshole and going to Connacht. Which is where we start. Oh, one more thing. All the Ulstermen currently experience labour pains that lay them all low for a given number of days and affect every Ulsterman except Cuchulainn. This was contained in a seperate story, 'The Labour Pangs of Ulster', which I didn't assign you but you can feel free to read on your own."

Almost as an afterthought, he grunts, "Hope you enjoyed your holidays."

[[Migraine. Going to bed as soon as I finish my "classes".]]

Han signs in, distracted and at the last minute. He takes spotty notes, clock-watches and leaves almost before the bell rings.
