[She's flipping through the Neiman Marcus catalog she picked up, listening to her headphones. Every now and again she sings along to snippets of Manilow, The Carpenters, and Neil Diamond. If anyone needs to talk, she's here.

Parker swivels on her heels to show off her shoulder bag. "It's *exactly* what I would've picked out. I can't believe he did this, really. I was thinking he'd get us tea towels with the Golden Gate Bridge on them. If he remembered." She shakes her head, still bemused and happy. "Did you have a nice Thanksgiving in between helping someone shop?"

No. I didn't. I went shopping for therapy. You know, if you calculate my Neiman's bill versus the hours I spend in the store, it works out roughly to a thousand dollars less per year than a guy who nods and hmm's a lot.

Parker grimaces. "Sorry to hear that. Sometimes families suck. For what it's worth, Jack had a great time. He's still bouncing around the library about the adoption. And that's saying something about one of the more hyper guys I know."

Jack hasn't even gotten his present yet. Well, the next one. [Her expression softens and she gets a far away look] I tool him to Big Sur, showed him this cave in the cliff wall. And we went to Chez Pannise. I want to show him the whole world, Parker. I feel like...like I should go bounce around the library too. [she laughs softly.]

Parker's voice gets softer. "That's so cool." She smiles. "I don't know what Jack's other parents were like, but he's so happy with you guys... And you're so thrilled too." She shrugs, looking bemused and maybe a little envious. "I hope it all goes through okay. But hey, if you hit a snag? I'll be happy to go shopping with you until it gets unraveled."

I'm going to New York at Christmas, want to come? [She picks up her coffee and takes a sip.] Sak's, Bergdorf's...come on...

Parker's eyes light up, then become speculative, not quite as cheerful. "I'd *love* to. But we haven't decided where we're spending Christmas yet. I could maybe talk my dad into New York, though? And if I do... definitely." She grins, and rolls her eyes. "My father has everything made-to-order, he doesn't appreciate a good shopping experience. So-- thanks. If you have time. I know Christmas is busy. I wouldn't want to intrude on your break."

One day...we'll drive. And if not over the holiday, then some weekend. We'll make a day, and overnighter. It'll be great...just girls who know how to shop.

"That would be awesome." Parker almost does a little dance, then remembers her dignity and straightens. "I mean, thanks, C.J. I'd love that. Fifth Avenue will never know what hit it." She sticks out her foot and wiggles it again. "And thanks for whatever help you gave him with these. I don't begin to believe he guessed my shoe size correctly."

[She smiles, a small laugh escaping her lips] Ok, the size was me. I had Marco pull your card. But really, he knows women pretty well...you should give him some credit. And it helps he adores you.

Parker turns bright red and looks briefly abashed. "No, that's J-- wait. Of course he does!" She tosses her hair, and gives C.J. a model pose and a smirk. "We do most of his job, don't we? Plus, coffee. Mostly so I can inhale what I can't have, but still."

He adores you...all. Did you see what he got the other girls?

"I did. I may swipe Zero's sunglasses, they're that cool. And the necklace for Janet was *perfect*." Parker grins, then sobers. "He really is a cool boss, most of the time. You don't find adults who treat you like *you're* adult as often as he does. I think that's part of what we appreciate about him." She smirks. "That, and the scenery."

[She jerks her head up sharply and looks at Parker for a second, like she's appraising her soul.] Oh, I didn't realize..Shep didn't tell me about you, too.

Adam is awfully easy on the eyes, isn't he?

Parker looks mystified at the Shep comment, then grins in agreement. "God, yes. All three of us agreed on that when we signed up to be librarian aides." Parker pouted, then looked evil. "I even put a picture of myself in a leather catsuit on my application. Not that he noticed. Janet laughed, though."

Parker...[the disappointment in her voice is unmistakable, but she's still smiling]...A catsuit? Hon, tell me it was Versace at least. Those can look SO tacky.

"Of course! As if I'd wear anything else." She studies C.J. a moment, then shrugs. "Older men find me attractive, what can I say? I think I liked Dr. Pierson better for obviously not looking."

He's a good man, Parker. You know he really thinks of you, all three of you, as his. You really should have seen him shopping. It was a sight. He took a lot of time and effort on each of you.

"...yeah?" Parker asks, looking away. "That was nice of him. Especially after the hard time we gave him last week." She looks down at her new shoes, and tilts them back and forth, studying them. She takes a deep breath. "But we all have families. Wel, Janet has an uncle. And some weird cousins, including Jack O'Neill. And I met Zero's brother this weekend, they're a lot alike. But it's..." She looks up, and smiles. "It's good to know he cares."

[Narrowing her eyes at Parker, she leans closer.]

I didn't realize Janet and Jack were cousins.

Parker's eyes widen as she nods. "Oh, sure. I mean, that's what they said, during Parent's Weekend. General Hammond showed up, and he's both Janet's uncle and Jack's uncle." She snaps her jaw shut, then smiles. "I don't know how close that connection is, though. They could be second cousins. Or third. Marty's always teasing Janet about it."

[She nods slowly] Mmm-hmmm. And, uh...Daniel Jackson? He's not her cousin too, is he?

"God, no," Parker blurts. Then catches herself. "I mean, it would be even more wrong for them to be dating if they were, wouldn't it? Not that there's anything wrong with them dating now. I mean, hell, I dated a 35-year-old, and Daniel's much nicer, albeit sometimes stupider." Parker shuts up, trying to figure out where this conversation is going, then narrows her eyes back at C.J. "Why do you ask?"

Just...curious. E's my assistant and has been, and I just found out she's dating K. He just had a birthday...

Parker snorts at this, then nods. "Yes. There was cake and everything." She folds her arms, studying C.J. "Hmm." She ticks off on her fingers the names C.J. has brought up, noting that only Carter has been left out. "O'Neill's dating Carter, did you know that?" Her lips are twitching.
