"No, it converts, so the computer part itself is seperate from the waffle iron," Rory explained. "Bridge didn't tell me how it works, really, but I think that's what happens with it."

"Exactly," she agreed. "Luke was trying to be all sweet and romantic and stuff, and it backfired. Well, kind of. I'm guessing it did, anyway, knowing my mom."

"Huh," Sam replied, already slightly distracted by trying to figure out how that would work. "I'll have to ask him, I guess."

"He should still get points for the gesture, though," Sam nodded. "Guys start out slightly handicapped with this kind of thing, just because they're male. I hope they work it out, though."

"Ask him to fix something of yours," Rory suggested. "Not that you would need him to, but I think he sticks little surprises like that in all of them."

"And they will. He's done stuff like this before - so, on one hand, he should've learned from his mistakes...but I also know my mom won't hold it against him too much."

"He's my partner on an assignment for Cyborg Theory, so I can always ask him about it while we're working."

"It's good that they understand each other. They must love each other a lot, huh?" She was very much not thinking about her own moron and the stuff they'd done to and for each other over the years as she said this.
