Scooter ambles up to the group of students milling around outside Principal Connor's office, unsurprised and unperturbed by the current state of chaos. He stands and watches the scene for a moment before grabbing one of the plastic visitor chairs and clambering onto it.

Alright! Hey, hey! Kids!

Scooter waves his arms about, attempting the Kermit version of crowd control. This is a moderately successful tactic as the students quiet somewhat. Scooter plunges on.

Hi, my name's Scooter and I'm the A/V and Theatre Tech Coordinator here at Fandom High. This isn't normally in my job description, but that's kind of the way of things around here. Anyway, let me make my announcement and you can get back to getting to know each other.

Students who have already been enrolled and are in need of housing should follow me. I'm going to show you the housing board outside the Office of Residential Affairs. There you can post notices asking for roommates, pick up single room request forms and find out about possible off-campus housing options. I promise, it won't be any more painful than it has to be.

Oh, and for all of you still waiting in line there will be signs posted pointing you in the right direction. We just haven't gotten them back from the printer's yet.

So, we're off.

Scooter climbs down from his chair and turns and walks off down the hallway, assuming that some portion of the crowd will follow him.

ETA: [OOC: I'm starting a requesting a single thread; if you want a roommate, make a comment saying so and state your preferences. People who are looking for roommates should check each other's requests and try to form pairs or trios. I'll post a link to the housing office later so that rommate sets can put in room requests. Also, if you request a single and then decide to have a roommate, please comment on your comment in the SINGLES thread to let us know. Thank You, The Management.]

I got shuffled over here trying to find a roommate. I'm pretty easy going, even if I talk a lot.

Gosh, I'd be glad to room with you! I was beginning to think maybe I'd end up all on my own here. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, it's just... *shrugs* sometimes it's nice to have someone to talk to.

Where do you want to room? Floor preference? I'd kind of like to be up on one of the higher floors if possible. *smiles*
