Arthurian Traditions class for Thursday

Camulus looks dejected. And slightly like he came off the worse in a fight with a flatbed scanner. There is a television and VCR set up on his desk, with manuals for both open beside them.

"I couldn't find a poetry translation of 'Sir Gawain and the Green Knight' for this class - unless you'd like to read it in the original Middle English - so we'll be deferring our discussion of the poem until I can find one. Possibly by Tuesday's class." He waves a video tape. "So instead today we'll be watching The Mists of Avalon, which provides the other side of the gender issues in the Arthurian Traditions. Enjoy."

Angelus kicks back with popcorn and watches. The incesty parts bother him not in the slightest.

Belthazor steals some popcorn from Angelus and watches the movie. The battle scenes, of course, interest him the most.

Angelus happily shares his popcorn with Bel and does not cut a hole in the bottom of it, as far as you know.

Beka stole some popcorn from Bel who'd stolen it from Angelus because that's the pecking order and she knows it. Even though she was pretending not to be interested in the movie, she was fascinated by the culture and weight of tradition.

Bel wondered that if both Angelus and Beka were eating popcorn, then maybe he should hold the box in his lap.

Beka couldn't give a damn about the movie. Being in the half-dark with Angelus and Bel and Camulus and Phoebe on the other hand, if he and his player are agreeable...
