Library Open - 11/9

Methos unlocks the library doors. Then he takes up a stack of books, takes a deep breath, and ducks into Special Collections to reshelve.

Don't count on being able to get ahold of him. But, also don't count on him not popping out.

[OOC: Mun is away until next Monday. Don't forget there are cameras in the library, and Dean Bristow, who is totally older than the Beatles but is younger than the Rolling Stones, is watching. Library assistants may or may not show up. You never know.]

*Zero places a box on the front desk. It has air holes, and is labeled, "For Parker" with no note of the giver. Then, she grabs a large stack of normal books, transfers them into the cart, and heads off into the marginally less dangerous section of the library to shelve.*

Angela walks into the library to work on her geology project.

*hears noise and pokes her head out of the stacks* Oh, hey, Angela!

"Hey, Zero. What's up?"

Angela frowns at the library ctalogue. "I'm supposed to find somethign about vulcanology for Sidle's class."

That's...volcanoes, right? *hits the catalogue with the flat of her hand* Hey. You. Behave for Angela.

"Yeah, volcanoes. I'm supposed to, like, find current data on active volcanoes in the world."

She eyes the Zero/catalogue interaction. "Did you just talk to the furniture?"

Yeah. Try it now.

Angela squints at the catalogue and pulls out a drawer.

Miraculously, it contains the correct citations to the most recentbooks and journals on volcano activity.

"Thanks, Zero."

She heads over to the shelves and pulls out an armful of reading material. "What's it like working here, anyhow?"

It's, um...unique. T'say the least. Little bit weird sometimes. *squints at card catalogue*

Angela matches Zero's squint "Does it, um, bite?"

Oh, no, only a few o' the books in Special Collections do that. You're perfectly fine out here.

Angela is not entirely reassured, but she settles into a seat and starts studying nonetheless.

She might mutter "weird school" once or twice.

Parker waves to Zero, then starts organizing books.

"Is our Fearless and Multi-Partnered Leader in yet?"

Library was unlocked when I got here, so maybe.

Parker looks around, shaking her head. "Does he know, that we know, what we know? Oh, and do you want to go with me and Alanna into town tonight? We're repairing the damage to her hair. It's an imperative."

Parker wanders in, yawning and looking smug.

Janet has much better slippers now. Heh.

Alanna peers into the library, looking for Miss Parker.

Parker smiles when she sees Alanna, and motions her over. "Are we still on for the make-over?"

Alanna walked over to where Miss Parker was. "Definetly. I can't wait to get something normal on my head."

Parker laughed. "Hair first, then Red's for an ear-piercing, with dinner to celebrate after?"

Alanna shrugged. "Sounds good to me."

"Meet me here after classes, we'll go to No Problem Chica haircutters first. They're supposed to be good."

Alanna nodded. "I'll trust your opinion on that. And I think I only have Adv. Negotiations today, so we should get out together."

Parker looks at the box, and reads the note, blinking. She pokes at it, then looks around for the giver. "Air holes?" she mutters, wondering.

*ducks behind a bookshelf and peers at Parker over the tops of the books*

Checking to make sure it doesn't have anything wired to it, Parker slooowly lifts the lid. Her eyes widen.

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Parker gasps. "Oh my gosh."

Reaching in, she takes the bunny out of the box, and slowly strokes its fur, a huge smile on her face.

*goes back to shelving, grinning like a total moron*

*bunny: hi hi are you my mommy you're my mommy okay? *snuggle**

Parker sits on one of the revolving stools and cuddles the bunny close. "Who gave you to me? That was so *nice* of them, whoever they were." She's still grinning as it sniffs at her fingers. "You need a name, don't you? A good name." Her smile turns wicked. "Not Logan. Heee."
